Gulliver, Salamat for the compliments, excited na nga ako eh ;D My co-workers thought I was nuts since I could have bought his 2001 Honda F4i (Big Bike) for the same. I'll post pictures when it arrives . I often go to swap meets where you can buy things at a bargain price, if you need any components let me know, I'd be happy to send them to you. regards

Sa batalya sa akin mas maganda ang R3000, but mine is a customized tubing ng bianchi na bigay ng isang kaibigan from Italy, libre e sukat pa he he

Dura ace or Campagnolo record? I'll take dura ace for performance and reliability. But why Cannondale?

Given a choice between DA or Campy Record, I'd choose Record. If it were DA or Chorus, I'd choose DA.
From what I've read, Campagnolo parts are more reliable over the years. Campy parts (especially the ergo shifters) are rebuildable. Shimano STI shifters are not.

Woofer is correct, campy is rebuildable because you have to rebuild it all the time.Believe me, it's not reliable. Most of pro. cyclist prefer dura ace.

But why Cannondale? Why not? brad. dont get me wrong, Cannondale is a good bike especially the one you got.It just so happened that cannondale (road) is so identified/ use by riders who are in their 50ties(in short old riders). If you're going to compare it to a car ,This bike is like Cadillac, nice car but not cool.Anyway,cannon. is known in making good alum. bike but behind on carbon tech.Ride lots

Also try to read about their latest offerings, the CAAD 8 which is 30 gr. lighter than the CAAD 7 and the Six 13 w/c is the top of the range. It might change your view. CAAD 7 by the way is the 2004 Giro D Italia winning frame.

cannondale has already their road carbon frame, the synapse and according from a trusted source, this is the only series which is made in taiwan. why? well the taiwanese have better craftmanship and durability when it comes to carbon manufacturing.

Cannon. six 13, It's good bike but still behind compared to carbon bikes made in Taiwan/China like Giant T MObile/Team issue,Scott CR 1,Felt Carbon bk and cervelo carbon bikes. These bikes are all made in Taiwan /China,cheaper,well built, better craftmanship and ligther(mostly sub. 15 lbs).Still,cannon. bike is good but not cool- in Tagalog "walang Dating"

Have you ridden the six13 of the past? Ohhh and for Mt Bike try the riding the Scalpel Its lighter and faster than most hardtails. Walang dating??? hahahhahaaa thats the funiest word I've heard all day... cheers PS...Im not in my 50's yet

Having a properly fitted bike is the key for enduring rides, power and endurance will shortly follow. This thread I started (nearly 3 years ago) was about "Components (DA VS Campy) NOT frames. I could have saved hundreds of $$ and bought a Trek OCLV or Giant TCR (both DA) but couldnt acustom to their frames, instead I settled for an "uncool" Cannondale CAAD7 w/Campy record set . -cheers

A friend of mine has a 2003 Giant full Carbon frame with Ultegra 9 speed groupset, ngayon ayaw na niyang gamitin mula nung bumili siya ng Trek MTB (Z9000 frame yata yun ) dahil mas masarap daw gamitin yung Trek, dehins siya pata. His road bike makes him sore daw.

My avatar is a "Multisport 2000", It was designed specifically for Triathlons and Time Trials. With its 650CC Wheelset and 11/21 Gears makes it an extremely fast bike......for shorter distances. Close up picture of my avatar (on rollers)with 650cc CF Spinergy wheels. Bike consist of DA and Ultegra. Happy Riding
