A lot of roadies ride at the Fort, even on weekdays. Sundays they usually have races around the oval.
There are also lots of rides out of town. Your best bet would be to join a cycling club or the PCN mailing list.

Why not try Quezon Circle on Sundays? They usually have impromptu races there.
Or you can also go to UP

There are a lot of group rides in the Rizal Area. Boso-boso, Antipolo, Mabitak, Teresa. If you are still a begginer try QC Circle or UP.

Hello, I'm new here Decided to get back into cycling after a long time, and had my first real bike ride this afternoon in Ayala Alabang Village. And I have to say that its one of the most ideal places for roadies. The roads are wide and there are very few vehicles most of which observe the full stop at every intersection law. And the routes are challenging. It has a wide variety of inclines along with high speed descents which end in tight bends. the short lap is 12km and the long ones as much as 24km. A lot of non-resident cyclists go there just to bike, like me. naki-park lang ako sa bahay ng kaibigan. Kaso harcore yung mga roadies doon. I did 40km but was dropped early and was struggling by the 30th. The cyclists there can do 100k easily. Try riding there if you can. its a roadie's heaven (thats still in the city) I'll be going there as often as i could. I have to get back in shape!

ako po bike commute from taytay to makati everyday.
when I have time, i go home to my folks place at ayala alabang and like what liquid tension said, it is a roadie's heaven.
weekends when not in alabang, i go around taytay via ortigas ave extension and tikling hiway.
or go inside valley golf.
i'm not that confident yet to ride dasaint's route of antipolo...hihingalin ako sa paakyat!
cheers and ride safe.

Nung nagpracticum ako (way way back a 2 decades), I ride from San Pedro to Pasay everyday for 2 years , cromo pa ang bike ko at old Campagnolo gruppo, madali ang mag bike noon kasi less traffic at sasakyan, now I think di na yan kaya ng powers ko, sa usok pa lang baka patay na ako hehhehehe

When I was Balintawak, QC every Sunday I rode in UP circle. Saturday is not advisable due to private and public vehicle especially Bus and Jeep who accompy even the bikelane area.
Now I'm in Valenzuela. Their is a place called Mecauayan Complex where you can bike and jog without thinking being hit by an automobile and polution that surround. The place is open to the public.

Speaking as an ex roadie who had to sell all his road bikes , the roadies I used to ride with rode in Amari, QC Circle , Manila Harbour , Ayala Alabang, Fort, Boso-boso, Laguna ( bugarin), Real ( quezon ) One popular destination also is the Sierra Madre Hotel loop, all of 80+km from Marikina. To me its one of the best rides for a roadie because the road is good and the cars are few. However, I was only able to ride this on my MTB already as I no longer had a single road bike to my name. Its a challenging route though the headwinds can be real killers. Last year I tried riding it from my area ( batasan ) so I went down c6 to san mateo, up maarat through the trail to boso boso then left and you go straight for about 25K or so which will bring you to the sierra madre hotel. Made it a loop so it was about 96km from my house and back. Challenging ride particularly on a mtb with discs and knobbies - barely made it to my bed ..... I loved the speed of the road bikes but I find riding part road/part trail in Maarat safer and more challenging physically. Plus I have had too many close calls on fast group rides too. But maybe if I lived in a place like Subic I would get a road bike again ( by the way thats another nice place for roadies) but then again on an mtb with 1.25 or 1.5 in tires, you can hop off the road and into the trail just like that so maybe I will stick to my GT with 1.25 paselas

Sierra Madre hotel is that sprawling structure on your left at the very PEAK of road. I think its white with a red roof. There is sign on the left to a certain resort on the bottom but the name escapes me now. If you hit the unpaved road, you already missed it.
If your cyclocomputer is calibrated, check your reading at boso boso. 25 kms later look to your left and that should be the Sierra Madre hotel.

Over here at the Southside, we ride inside alabang village, daang hari, filinvest, san pedro, carmona, tagaytay or a combination of some of them.
During the rainy season the trails of muntinglupa get very sticky so that's when we hit the road.
Meeting place is usually Daang Hari lespu Station at 6-630 am on Tues., Thurs. Sat. and Sun.
The guys from BF Paranaque, can join our road rides every tues & thurs. My training guru Jingo of Cycling zone and I would enjoy your company. The more the merrier. Text if your interested 0917 8173517.
Today's ride was cancelled due to the early morning showers. We postponed the ride for tom. This thurs ride will likewise be cancelled to make way for our track read of the maarat race track on Sun.

Just being careful about this Sunday's scheduled race. I don't want to get sick before Sunday. Si Brandom may flu. Baka ikaw din magkasakit.
Magagalit yung Team Manager ko if I don't take care of my health and train properly.
