Haha! But what type of frame fits or does not fit a let's say 135x10 hub? I am assuming mas bigger ang diameter ng DH frame vs XC. Or Full-sus vs HT. "usually" rear QRs "can fit" a 10mm axle. try to measure it or if you can borrow a 10mm axle, fit it. my first xc'sh 29er frame (ryder) can fit a 10mm axle. it came with qr when bought as a built bike. I literally lose track kung frame or hubs ba ang primary topic dito. I've been into biking for years but this is still a bit too much for me! Anyway, I have a Giant ATX frame and I'm choosing between the tested deore m615 hubs or the newer and louder hubs na dehins lalagpas ng 5k. If it's the newer hubs, I'd probably go with koozer or amoeba whichever is available sa local stores dito sa amin. And I'll probably take a close look on the whole wheel set build. Ang hirap intindihin pag binabasa lang. Thanks for the tutorial spyghost!

I would rather invest 1st on groupset then wheelset then fork, last na po ung the rest ng parts ng bike.

hmm....i beg to disagree, invest on a good frame. madali magpalit ng drivetrain or wheelset. pero subukan mo magpalit ng frame, ay sauce...ang sakit sa ulo.
IMHO as a weekend rider, we're putting too strong components on our bikes that we're really riding them to their full potential.

xmayor, on my first bike ganyan din ang nangyari. i was offered a generic frame by the shop, then they slapped an entry level groupset during the build. okey lang din kasi primary purpose of the bike was for bike commuting. low profile ang frame.

Or yung frame eh pressfit BB ang tinatanggap.
and yes...I've done that before, twice.

kobjn - hayan very detailed! i may say, take it from the veterans/seasoned riders here. anthrax76 - someone is offering me a used frame, though haven't seen it yet. let say 7 out of the 11 items you mentioned above are satisfied or compatible with my current set-up, do you think it is wise to go? else, i'll just build another bike! hahaha!

xmayor, he he, it depends on the budget I guess. If the new frame forces you to get a new fork but it would be outside your budget, then think again. I, for one, don't mind transferring all the components from one bike to another. I've had a few hacks along the way like putting spacers or re-using cable housing. anyway, I normally dispose of a frame with the headset, FD, seatpost and seatclamp for less worries on the buyer.

yeah, when i got my current frame it goes with the seatppst, seatclamp and the headset. but i eventually replaced the headset... 'coz it often wear off fast on mtb.

basta mountain bike, designed for offroad yan. the thing is, baka may components na papalitan ka agad. Rhino is an entry level bike, and by that, merong mga nauunang pinapalitan like pedals and brakes, minsan yung drivetrain.
my advice, gamitin mo ng gamitin at alamin mo yung parts.

And may question don po ako about sa bike sizing. And im thinking of getting a 29er. Medyo nalalabuan po kasi ako sa sizing when it comes to frame and wheel size? San ko po ba ako dapat magbase?

Medyo nalalabuan po kasi ako sa sizing when it comes to frame and wheel size? San ko po ba ako dapat magbase? wheel size dosn't matter. it's the frame that matters when it comes to sizing. different brands offer diffrent sizing. by numbers alone, spez has a different sizing between their 2016 and 2017 frames. in my case, 5'8", i had to size down for spez. but i don't use spez - just stating it as an example if i were you, i'd ask around shops what their recommended frame size is (not to be confused with wheel size). also if you have a friend who rides who is the same height as you, get a feel for their rig. given that you are tall for an average local, international boards will be another option for you. what frame are you targetting? if it's a known manufacturer and if it has good CS, you might want to drop them an email for inquiries.

Sir Spyghost thank you for the advise. I am actually targeting the FOXTER 29er. dehins ata sya ganun kakilala pero as I've read some reviews. Okay naman feedback. Panalo naman na daw para sa starter. Are you familiar with the brand?

Lifecycle GH has bike fit but you have to schedule as there is a queue. Not sure how much these days. You can use this instead: www.competitivecyclist.com/Store/catalog/fitCalculatorBike.jspAs objective as I am personally, I'm not really a fan of bike fits. As long as I am comfortable on the rig on where I spend most of my position, I'm good. One thing you can do is go to big shops like Lifecycle, Trek, Dans, etc... and talk to the sales there on what fits you. Sit on their display bike and get the feel more or less and go for the foxter. Or just ask the shop where you'll make your purchase and when in doubt, follow the previous steps.

Dapat pala kasi nagresearch muna ako bago bumili. Any reviews/feedback po about Laux Pioneer Mountain Bike? Salamat po.

Kahit yung size 15 yata medyo malaki pa sayo. Anyway mag bike fit ka muna. Nasa FAQ yata link nun. I-take note mo yung Effective Top Tube Length.

Build it as xc na lang.
