dehins ako familiar sa drivetrain and components ng bawat isa, pero so far Trinx takes the cake. Mas common kong nakikita yun vs. the three other built bikes.

1.63m or 5'4" si Jennylyn, more than enough for a 16" frame

Ok po ba yung Schwinn Rocket 6 27.5 for 12k?

Good day po,
Actually I'm new to serious biking. Reason for me to buy bike is sobrang traffic ang pasig. Lalo na dumagdag ung odd/even scheme. olats ako sa gas at parking sa tsikot kaya nagdecide ako magbike. 2 weeks na bike ko (from Pasig to Makati). Actually wala talaga akong alam sa parts at brand.
Ung nabili kong brand is Sava Ares A1. Okay po ba sya? Sabi kasi ng friend ko, is good daw ang sava.

Actually, meron akong commuter bike, perfect for your height (19"). I'm seriously thinking of letting it go for a really really low price. If you're interested, PM mo lang ako, he he bawal ang bentahan sa discussion boards eh.
To give you an idea, heto yung frame Schwinn Frontier GSX (see pic, ayoko mag-attach ng image, ha ha ha), almost ganyan ang itsura ng setup. (http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/dd398/rondgrider/schwinnfrontiergsx.jpg)

there are manufacturers that offer female specific frames but tbh, i don't really get it. as long as the frame size fits the body it's good to go.

for relatively cheaper chiwanese brands, what i would look for primarily are 3 specs. - if not tapered, at least 44mm straight headtube that can take on tapered steerer when used with an ec44 lower headset cup - can take on 135x10 rear axle - can take on at least 30.9 seat post
there are entry level built bikes with frames that have these specs.

Marami akong nakikitang trinx na built bikes. Magandang starter bike ito, upgrade na lang sa mga pyesa na gusto mong palitan that's true sir kona... in fact many riders have been using trinx frames even built bikes even for races, and surpisingly some have been landing inside the top ten currahee!

May nakita akong Trinx.

Marunong lng po ako mag bike... pa help lng po makapili ng bike Anu pong masasabi nyo sa mga brand na to: Baol Carratt Rhino TrinX Phoenix Salamat po baol - vintage frame... puwede isali sa pinoy retrobikes ni sir alphabolt carratt - amongst the five, ito ang pinaka pricey! rhino - frame brand ng mga matitigas phoenix - unleaded or diesel? kidding aside, amongst those mentioned, trinx is the most common brand, of which i have seen being used recreationally and also in local competitions as well with the right component upgrades. currahee!

there are more brands than there are actual frame-making factories in taiwan. there are actually just a handful of them it's well-known that giant makes frames for many different brands. because it's easier to outsource this kind of thing to a factory that has streamlined and optimized their frame-making operations, than it is to build a factory and start from scratch. and of course the economies of scale that said it's entirely possible that all those cheaper frames came from just one or two factories

yes sir... there's boost nowadays btw to make things a bit more challenging to the end users. Haha! But what type of frame fits or does not fit a let's say 135x10 hub? I am assuming mas bigger ang diameter ng DH frame vs XC. Or Full-sus vs HT.

"usually" rear QRs "can fit" a 10mm axle. try to measure it or if you can borrow a 10mm axle, fit it. my first xc'sh 29er frame (ryder) can fit a 10mm axle. it came with qr when bought as a built bike.
