The new Tune hubs are called PRINCE (rear) and PRINCESS (front). It is lighter but stiffer than their KING and KONG hubs. I am using a King and Superschaft Kong on my Scott Scale Bike. The price of the Prince and Princess Hubs are much higher than the King and Kong hubs. At Starbike Prince cost EUR 459.00 and the Princess cost EUR 219.00.
The Prince at 32H is 190 grams and the Princess at 32H is 107 grams and both are disc ready. I think these hubs will be available commercially on 14 March 2008 but there were initial items which were issued sometime September or October but these were a little bit heavier and only in gold colors. The new Prince and Princess hubs will come in silver, black, green, red, blue and gold. These hubs look the same as their King and Kong hubs.
If you want to know more about Tune products and to get a good price - our fellow PMTBer Jan Atienza can very well help us.

Has anybody seen what the internal mechanism of a Tune rear hub looks like?
I've seen a picture of a Chris King rear hub internal mechanism and personally that of an Industry Nine hub (at Biketown Cyclery). I prefer the simplicity of the King design.
But knowing the reputation of the Germans when it comes to mechanical design, I guess the internals of a Tune hub would have to be good.

Extralite is an Italian brand. It is also lightweight...98 grams for the front hub and 198 grams for the rear hub (claimed). Previously, front retails for USD 229.00 and rear retails for USD 469.00 (it must be higher now). Dealers always get it cheaper. Problem though, it's designed for straight pull which means we will have difficulty looking for compatible weight weenie spokes.
