Raul. Raul. You just gave me an idea. Why not change distributor and LBS and for that matter change bikes? If the three fail to deliver in reasonable timely fashion, seek other alternatives and venues...right?
I can always select Ibis Mojo of sir Goyo. Ellsworth Epiphany of Sabak Sports. Plus hosts of other outstanding bikes the likes of Titus Motolite Exo-Grid, Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Pro Carbon, 08 Santa Cruz Heckler, etc etc. Ang dami!
I will start calling starting 1000. Whoever delivers first, I will downpay na. I am sick of waiting for Trel Fuel EX 9.5 sa wala.
HhhMmm. Life is starting to become interesting again. Window of closed minded loyalty to Dubbyaah Bush's Trek rides has been opened. I feel free.

An update. Quite quick also. Talked to Sir Goyo of Bike Cyclery Pasong Tamo. He can fix me with an Ibis Mojo 5.5 rear travel, size small, color naked.
BbbRrrOooMmm! Feels like hitting the beach. Am excited as Hell!

Boredmdmtber, What is your rear rotor? Papa Rocky, Days away from testing the Shadow rd. Got mine with the help of Yukon and a lady cyclist who jsut flew in from her holidays back there. And it's a mid cage. It does look kick ass and will make my bike full XTR and not chopsuey. Not that I hate SRAM now, I just have to get the best of both company. Who knows, maybe once I got a hold of a white frame from Trek, then eithr one of them will be installed to it. Im not saying which frame but you have a pretty good idea which model it is Da Man, It's a Shimano XT six-bolt 160mm. I just replaced my front rotor to a Hope "floating" rotor 160mm and replaced my DCL's to Shimano XTR triggers and 2008 XT brake levers.

Am reading your PM to me now... docped. Just finished reading it.
HhhMmm. I just glimpsed you will get an Ibis Mojo SL very soon at sub 23. And the high-end components you will install will turn all mountain Ibis Mojo SL into a 5.5 rear/140 front monster. Gracious goodness. This means you will rip apart your backyard trails of Bootleg Canyon and Cottonwoods more. Good for us. We will get "more awesome scenic pictures of the same..." How lucky can we get.
If Sir Goyo can deliver via airfreight Ibis Mojo small frame to me like before Valentine's Day as he promised, more or less both of our Ibis Mojo's will have same high end components. Except that yours is an Ibis Mojo SL, thus a pound lighter, plus other goodies like rubber paint protection, titanium bolts, more rigid and lighter carbon make, and it is 2008 versus classic Ibis Mojo naked 2007 I chose.
I don't know docped. I just like the pitch darkness of the night naked carbon color of 2007 Ibis Mojo. Nothing fancy. Nothing candy. Pretty common. But I feel within its brute naked color lurks my soul.

Hi Fafa Rocks, I too felt that way when I placed an order for a medium 08 Giant Reign. I ordered it last September but it never arrived, though it wasn't the fault of the LBS or the distributor. It seemed the bike was a hot item worldwide and Giant was experiencing a shortage. What did I do? I went out and got another frame. Now I'm very very very very very very happy with my 08 Santa Cruz Heckler. People say it's an old design, single pivot, yada yada...but I don't care. It's sooo much fun to ride! My other bike is gathering dust now. And besides, as the old saying goes - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! You're most welcome to demo my heckler along the Rocky Road, and i think there are a couple more frames available at Sta Rosa bikehauz if you are interested! Unlike Raul, I waited around two and half months for my heckler. The waiting killed me. But it was worth the wait. Patience is a virtue, yes. But maybe the distributor/LBS isnt treating you like the hotshot VIP customer that you are. And almost four months is way way too much time to wait. In my case, I was advised early on that Sta Cruz frames (at that time in 06) were really backordered. The distributor advised me of any delays and answered my emails or phone calls. Anyway, good luck on your new Mojo.

If I get it under 26, i'll be happy, maybe even put a GravityDropper or Maverick Speedball R seatposts on. Another Mike I know has an Ibis Mojo nude carbon and he loves it. Sub 25 lbs. with Shimano XTR wheels and a GravityDropper seatpost. His Nomad is in his garage gathering dust.

When I run into Mike on the trail with his nude carbon Mojo, he raves about it all the time.

Dear cobym. Dear raul. Dear boredmdmtber. Dear tofi.
What a day! Major developments for moi as PinoyMTBiker. Remember around noonish when I drove to Pasong Tamo supposedly to meet up with Sir Goyo at Bike Cyclery? I failed to locate Goyo's bike shop. Rather, I ended up finding Sabak Bike shop instead. In space of 5 minutes after talking to rickym and boysim and norman, they sold me Ellsworth Epiphany (08) which will be delivered this Friday. Yes that soon. Compared to Sir Goyo's Ibis Mojo which will be delivered after 7 days upon ordering. And do I need to reiterate vs Eric Roque's Trek Fuel EX 9.5 which was never delivered after making me wait for more than 3 months! How mindless. How can Eric Roque do this to me?
Sabak's 2008 Ellsworth Epiphany was ordered months ago and is already on its way to arrive this Friday. It was originally meant for norman. But boysim and rickym persuaded him to sell the bike to me instead. Which he obliged. Thanks norman. Mwaaah.
Size is small 15. Color is smoke anodized. Travel is 5.25 with Fox Float RP23.

It's an Epiphany for Fafa Rocky! Yeah! Isnt Gary V using one??? Ay OT sorry Ay OT rin. I know rickym been using same Moment for past 5 years. With his brand of laspagan riding, his Moment has to breakdown yet. Our own beloved alphabolt rides his Truth. I saw how he flew past all of us on our way to Angat church ride. Wow! Truth looked too awesome with alphabolt grinding it down. How about Kiddfoes? He just built an Epiphany in his own work station (garage). In fact he is sneaking out on his Epi now inspite of near blizzard conditions. And of course...j a p. H K has never been the same again with him mowing the island down with his Epiphany. Levi owns the most tastefully done Moment for us to appreciate. Just like a work of art he always creates, Levi's Moment upgrades our finer senses. Some refer to culture as "bling...bling" right sir Yukon?

Thanks DocPed. I guess this Epiphany will be it for me til I reach 70s, and may be prevented from mtbiking any further after that? I trust Ellsworth is of the highest quality made USA frame. I don't think with my kind of senior citizen trail riding, I will harm its durability at all. Rather, it will act more like a US Marine armored tank on trails, point and shoot...point and shoot. Fun. Fun. Fun.
For your perusal, here are the 2008 XTR specs to be installed:
Frame: 2008 Ellsworth Epiphany, smoke anodized, small 15" Front Suspension: 2008 Fox 32 TALAS RLC Rear Shock: 2008 Fox RP23 Brakes: Avid Juicy Ultimate 185mm rotor front/160 mm rotor rear Cassettes: Shimano XTR CS-M970 cassette sprockets (11-34T) Cranks: Shimano XTR FC-M970 crankset incl. bottom bracket Front Derailleurs: Shimano XTR FD-M970 Top-Swing front derailleur Rear Derailleurs: Shimano XTR RD-M971 Top-Normal rear derailleur Shifter: Shimano XTR SL-M970 RAPIDFIRE Plus shifters Wheelset: Shimano XTR WH-M975 wheelset for disc brake use Chain: Shimano Durace/XTR CN-7701 chain (114 links) Headset: Chris King Stems: Thomson Elite X 4 31.8 Handlebar: Easton Monkeylite SL Grips: Salsa Juegos de Fuego Lock-On grip Seatpost: Thomson Masterpiece Saddle: Selle Italia ProLink Lite Gel Pedals: Exustar E-PM25TI Shifter Cables: Shimano XTR SIS shifter cables Skewers: Ellsworth QR Tires: Kenda Nevegal DTC 26x2.10 front/Kenda Small Block Eight DTC 26x1.95 rear
Wish fate didn't intervene, and I had Ibis Mojo instead, and very very elusive 2008 Trek Fuel EX 9.5? But I will settle for Ellsworth Epiphany. This bike was for me to start with - epitomised heights of power, skill, and reckless abandon as far as mtbiking performance is concerned IMO. Oh well. I got what I sought best. It is just up for me and for Epiphany to explore and tame scenic mountains til I turn into a hermit.

Congratulations Fafa Rocky on your new baby. It appears to be an awesome ride. Now is the time to run that baby in the trails of the Philippine's last frontier, our beloved Palawan.
There are some good trails and routes here that I think you can put your new bike in good test. We can do some hard riding and at the end of the trail refresh ourselves with buko and grilled fish near the beach.

Dear MountG:
I am left with no choice but to get a longer travel/light rig ...Jon. At the rate I find myself wandering and making butas trails of Norzagaray, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan (Monday-Friday), comfort is the key to all day excursions I do.
EeeWww. So ian mojix was the Mindoro gentleman farmer Marcial (the mechanic) of Sabak Mkti alluded to as recent Epiphany owner.
Marcial cited Epiphany owners from as far south as Davao too. "Hello PinoyMTBiker Davao peepz. Hello. Hello. Hello."
Dear palawaneagle,
Thanks for welcoming my new baby to our last hidden frontier. Soon. Very soon...atty. Epiphany will root itself to our beloved ancestral ground.
Hydrating ourselves with newly picked buko sweet juices from trees towering above our heads, and carbo-loading on freshly caught fishes steaming hot live from red charcoals, while sprawled on silkiest white beaches of Palawan watching the sun go down after a hard day's epic ride, let us do it ... tangay. Conversation will be in pure Cuyonon too.

Sir Rocky, Your XTR wheels are tubeless ready, you might want to give it a try with Stan's. You have lots of clearance too on the frame and Talas fork. I use a 2.35 front and 2.1 rear. They will add a little weight but in combination with the Epiphany's generous BB height, you will roll over just about anything. The Epiphany I rode at Interbike 2007 decked out with XTR components and their own wheels.

Dear Schwinng:
Thanks for sharing with me these awesome "moment" swelling in my heart now. All of us who just acquired any upgraditis virus thingy know what I am feeling now. The Rush is tops. Now I understand why some of us have six to dozen in their stable.
Dear cobym:
Coming from you as one of PinoyMTBiker's more knowledgeable and respected classic expert that I upgraded the equivalent of twice pala from fuel to mojo when epiphany accidentally fell on my lap via sabak. Must be lady luck smiling my way again. Thanks you so much cobym for letting me know.
Yay! I am so Happy!
Dear docped:
I will ask Marcial (mechanic) of Sabak to follow as per your instruction and enjoy for myself what tubeless ready tires with Stan's you like me to experience out on trails. Again thanks for guiding and coaching me on this new experience (Moment).

Papa Rocky,
Congrats on your long awaited bike. Good decision to get a bike than waiting for you dont know when delivery. Seize the moment and start the ride than wait in misery. Nice choice!
I dont think Trek will be able to send one to the Phils. if they cannot even supply the retailers in US. My friend arrived 2 days ago from Texas and no luck too with his bike. To think he sold his bike a copule of months ago thinking he will get it there.

Thanks Doc, That is a classic rotor already with all the new ones flooding the market. Good choice on the floating disc upfront, isolating the heat of the area where the pads and discs connects or contacts. I cant find a red hope rotors here. I thought it was a Stan's

Dear GalvinChie,
You hit bullseye when you said that it is about time that I "break from Trek tradition." Yeah. This singularity and sense of boot camp loyalty to dubbyaaah Bush Trekkie have serve better days. Sabak's penchance for Ellsworth bikes left a very impressionable mark during our earlier PinoyMTBiker's newbie days with Gulliver and Yong and Fullspeed and Bikester. I recall how rickym would rip thru apat na palapag and upak on his Moment. How we elevated Sabak's stable of Ellsworth like they were F/A-18 Hornets.
Dear Enzo,
So pathetic that Trek Wisconsin is dropping ball big time failing to keep up with demands of Fuel EX carbon delivery. Still...Eric Roque and his 3T staff of secretaries should be on top of their customer service. I suffered lots hoping and waiting on nothing. Not even a whimper nor advisory from them.

Just a short note... The Ibis Mojo was voted as the 2007 All Mountain Bike of the year. Not a single Mojo in the Philippines was reported to have a broken parts or links. And we now have stock of the Ibis Mojos... Small and Medium
