this new groupset from Shimano might work very well with seriouse bike commuters. It has internally geared hubs matched with hydro brakesets, and also, it has a nice crank. anyone up for it? i am, if only i had the money. hehehe

Is that replacing the Nexus hub? Nice looking commuter! Looks to be a 29er... put some knobbies on that and take it on the trails and give that hub a good test.

Nexus is still at the line up of shimano in their site, but i don't think it's db ready unlike the Alfie.
Just checked the Shimano site, Nexus already has 8 speed, but 16 is the lowest sprocket count.

I wonder of Shimano found a way to quick-release disc brakes from horizontal dropouts... 'Coz it would really be a pain fixing flats on the trail/road.

Is this available in LBS'? How much (approximately) will it cost for the whole (front/rear) set? this new groupset from Shimano might work very well with seriouse bike commuters. It has internally geared hubs matched with hydro brakesets, and also, it has a nice crank. anyone up for it? i am, if only i had the money. hehehe
