Sorry, dehins ako marunong maglagay ng LINK dito. Go to www.cyclingnews.com for some info on the new forks from Manitou and Rockshox. Or if one generous soul could make it easier for the rest and just put the complete articles here at pinoymtb forum.

ei guys! saw this pics on the NSMB website... new long travel forks from manitou...exit the DORADO(yup guys, the Dorado line of forks will be no more for 2006)... and enter the Manitou TRAVIS! The Manitou Travis with 8" of travel and 34mm stanchions. and here is another version of the fork... a single crown TRAVIS!!!! much of like a Sherman Breakout plus with more travel and larger stanchions Manitou's Bill Christensen standing beside a custom 1.5" headtube Intense M3 with a 200mm Manitou Travis single-crown up front. man! those forks are awesome! ;D and the black Intense M3 looks cool! for more news about the 2006 products and the SEA OTTER 2005... please visit the website: www.nsmb.com

don't have the Recon, but from my experience with Rockshox Pike, ganda na performance ng Rockshox ngayon at a much affordable price vs Fox. U-turn is definitely very helpful for those extended technical climbs. Lock out feature with floodgate valve is also very nice, since you can set at what treshold the lockout will become active so lock it and hammer away when you're going up, and it still soaks up the clutter. (i actually accidently went down AFP with the fork locked-out and didn't really notice it).

travel - Pike is 95-140 while Reba is 80-110 mm I think purpose - more on aggresive/all mountain ang Pike, XC ang Reba Coil ang Pike (but I think '06 model will have air also) Pike also uses 20mm quick release axle, while Reba is standard QR

di naman 1.5 specific lahat ng long travel SC eh... IMHO, sir the point of having a 1.5" head tube is not for variety of headtube size, its for having a stronger SC long travel (8" or more) forks, meaning a 1.5" SC 8" fork is equal to a 1.125" DC 8" fork. Gets mo? that is why a marz 66 isnt as long as a 888 DC. Kaya nila ginawa yun, maybe with that technology if you need 12" travel in the future that is the time you need a DC with 1.5"

angtanung ko lang... tagal nako nghahanap ngdealer ng Manitou travis d2 wla pko mkita... mga mgkanu kya un... we don't have it here yet as well... i'm not sure it's in the market already. you should be looking at around $850 USD. st. patrick: they already have a 12" travel DC (M's super monster) and it's a 1.125. u dnt need a 1.5 on a DC.

Its not Always the Bigger the Better In fact specially for a SC long trav fork it steerer needs nice flex pattern so that the the incidence of fatigue cracks will be reduced Prolonging the Life of your beloved Pork Very stiff Steerer could translate into great stresses on the Stanchion and Crowns

No Axle? Strange coz that's a special type of Axle that will fit only the Pike (quick release axle!). You'll have to order that part directly from the distributor as I don't think any of the shops would carry that readily [glow=yellow,2,300]Quiapo??? Teka... if it's missing a Maxle then it better be cheap 'coz u will have to find this part.... unless u can email RS and see how much it will cost for them to mail u one.
