Good news! it seems, there will be other choices to choose from now that DT will be producing centrelock hubs also But look at the MSRP DT GETS THE NOD TO MAKE CENTER LOCK HUBS www.mbaction.com/detail.asp?id=917DT Swiss announced today that it will be manufacturing a line of high-performance hubs that incorporate Shimano's patented, "Center Lock" splined rotor interface. Previously, only Trek's line of Bontrager wheels had Shimano's authorization. DT's new 240-S hubs are offered in conventional and single-speed versions, and will be compatible with Shimano's XTR and Deore XT disc brakes. Whether the Shimano-compatible hubs will be offered with DT Swiss wheelsets has yet to be announced, but we speculate that the agreement with Shimano was motivated by DT's decision to enter into the prebuilt wheel market. Either way, these guys are the only hubs that rival the likes of Chris King--and they are stinking light--so pay attention. Here is the nitty gritty: 240-S "Center Lock" hubs Cross-country Front HubE36 grams: $150 Rear HubE58 grams: $293 Single-speed (set) Bolt onE43 grams: $326 Quick ReleaseE85 grams: $363
