Easton makes quality products. One of the best in both alum and carbon IMHO
If you can afford it ...go all out easton (stay away from their forged stems though. I dont see the value in them vs price)

I've seen Easton in both cycling components and tent poles. Reputable brand. My current stem is an EA50, very old model, the logo is still a decal, the new one has an etched logo.

Why you like easton, Cabworks? Easton also caters from low to high end level bike parts. If you don't know the model of the high end parts. maybe you buy the low end parts... so be very careful and get the information in the internet before you buy anything... Don't ask bike mechanics or the store keeper in the LBS, internet can give more info than them... this is just my own opinion...

I agree with Pazigrider... better to have a multiple brand name in your bikes. This is for my own preference only... ex. Headset- best is Chris King, Seatpost - Thomson, Stem - KCNC...etc...etc...

on the carbon handle bars dept. - i've read that raceface next sl is the best while easton is at 2nd also, i've read that it is not advisable to use a lock on grip on carbon handlebars ;D ;D ;D and that carbon handle bars should be replaced every 3 years - say you're riding more that 100km a week ;D ;D your comments guys - especially those carbon handle bar users ;D

I like to see the carbon with the glosss finish outside. Not like the Easton Componsite appearnce that is plain black like a plastic. So, Raceface Next is best for me... I have one installed in my XC bike... until now, I can not see any crack marks...

I have Easton Carbon handlebars on all my bikes. The Easton's are lighter than the Race Face Next SL. All my stems though are Race Face.
