Hi Eric, brad, we are using Shadow XTR. There is a small bend at the left plate or cage. Thanks for the picture.

You're right Timotz, just replace the jockey wheels with the jockx can already feel the improvement of your shifting... But for those who want to add more bling to their bikes, it's still OK to replace the Tension pulley... Anyway, we always respect rider's perspective...

Idol, I have finally installed the jockwheels on my XTR RD 07, at last! Only with a minor adjustment on the bended part of the plate and some tuning. I have not tried it yet on the trails but I went around the village and it feels fine...you're the man bongjumper, nice shifting and the response is quick... I am going to install something else on my XTR Shadow he he he... When is the next batch available?

Bong, I was wondering, when the original jockey wheels are used, the wear and tear is suffered by the wheel because it is made of hard plastic. Obviously, the chain wins in the wear and tear. However, the since the bongjumper wheels are aluminum, which wins the wear and tear battle? The chain rubs against the wheel, so its a matter of time that one or the either loses. The alum teeth may thin out or the chain thins out.
Any longterm test results? Shifting is not an issue anymore as testimonials abound.

A very nice question Xfire... The main reason why the pulleys wear out is the dust or sand mixed with the chain lubricants. It's acts as a grinding compound. In the case you're using aluminum pulleys and the chain is made of stainless steel. Since aluminum is much more softer than the steel. Like plastic, it will wear out faster than the chain...
I'm using mine more than a year now, this is from theprototype, still working well and the teeth is still not wear out...

Thanks Pareng Jessie for a very nice review and pictures... Please enlighten us to the modification you made on the bended parts of your RD... might help to other using the same RD as yours... During weekend ride also, My ride buddies review... since he can not explain it technicaly... he just make the review by sound... before the sound is like this, when I shift " crrrrrktskt" and now after I installed the jockey wheels, the sound is this "tskt"... even my finger not returning back the shifter to original position. The chain is already transfered to the cogs... simple tech explanation but it make sense to me... ;D ;D ;D

same thing as sir jessie encounter on my shimano 07 rd,the bend portion on the lower roller needed for me to grind a bit.And lastly the clip doesnt fully inserted, almost pop-out but still manage to clip-on.From my observation sir Bong, the jockey wheels is a bit thick on a stock shimano jockey wheels.
more power!

got my red jockx wheels yesterday (courtesy of NVP, thanks again pards) and had it promptly installed by dandan in my mojo sl (took him a little over 5 minutes to do it without any fuss at all). the red jwheels brought out the carbon in the xtr shadow rd, it looks like its floating inside the rd cage.
tried the jwheels this morning for an early ride to the antenna and the only thing i can say is "it is immaculate"! its smooth, crisp and stealthy! i even tried shifting uphill and it worked perfectly. it's 5 chilis for me! ;D ;D ;D
way to go bong! your jwheels rock!

Thanks JC for your feedback... I will put this issue in the drawing board. A very helpful information for me to think about revision to fully fit the design to shimano RD. Hopefully, the next release of jockX wheels no more problem with the bending issue, thickness and also perfectly fit wit he road RD....

another very happy customer here suffered from jock-itch already while waiting for the availability of this product ;D ;D All i wanted is just the additional bling by adding red accents through the red-silver jock wheels... I got more than what I expected... this product is fully functional. I have been experiencing delayed and missed shifting before its installation. Now, it's shifting smoothly by just installing the jock wheels. . . and there's 1 more thing.... it was installed by the man himself Bong took the liberty of getting his hand dirty just to make sure it won't have any problems. kakahiya tuloy. here it is. Bong, thanks!!!

You are always welcome Itan... It's my pleasure to wrench your bike... Nice decison of choosing red Jockx. It adds life to the accent of your bike. Red magura, red chainring bolts, some red on the WS, some red on the fox, and the fork... Perfect combination... If you have some problem in the jockx... Just let me know...

That bike stand is part of the good things which came when I've done good deeds on my job - it's a company car but I can use it anywhere and free gasoline and service. With a free car, I can buy bike parts pa... ;D It helped me a lot on the climbs and rolling hills as it is easier for me to shift gears now. Highly recommended but please work on the fitting dre...(and also the weight pala) in general, it is still superb!
