For those who had purchased and used that bongjumper's jockey wheels.. lets share our reviews... mine was installed on SRAM x9. i had already experienced using Sram products and it was really good. but this one is much much better. shift actuation was very responsive. as i see, there is no sideway play at all since the wheel is properly locked and touches side to side at the base of the sealed bearing. the moment you hear the flick of your shifter, the jockey wheel is already position to the selected ring... this is awesome invention sir bong... shims guys, post yours too.. ;D

me too! looks better pala if both wheels are replaced... is it better than having only one wheel replaced or is the 2nd wheel only for aesthetic purposes only?

Yo Bong, How do I go about getting a set to "test" and market here in the States? Are the Shimano and Sram sets the same or are they subtle differences? Thanks brad!

Hi Flipnidaho, I can send the items in the states... DHL, EMS...etc... Shimano and Sram jockey is totally different. Shimano have only one hole while SRAM have two holes...

I got the shimano model from bongjumper and installed it on my DEORE (low normal) RD. As bongjumper had promised, the new wheels increased the responsiveness of my RD. The jockey wheel seated firmly on the cage(same with XTRs). Due to the wider profile of the wheel's teeth, the chain is snuggly wrapping as it travels around it which also helps decrease the play or wiggle.
With my low normal RD, when shifting up(to smaller wheels, using the thumb lever), I used to hold the lever until the chain has completely shifted to the next gear just to be sure. But with the new upgrade, this is now instantaneous or as soon as the thumb lever clicks. Shifting up or down now takes almost the same time. It also makes my black RD bling!!! Makes you wonder why shimano didn't think of this. Or maybe they did...
Thanks bongjumper!!
FWIW, I'd like to try it on a roadbike RD, they have the same 11-tooth jockeys.
I think one of the cons would be the weight, as stock wheels are really weightless plastic. But then again, a few grams is worth a trade for a more precise machinery.

Imusbikers, Thanks for your positive and negative review of the jockey wheel. Well noted about the weight penalty issue and this is one of the most priority to improve the design... Please also give us review if it will work in Road RD. I never tried it before in road bike since I don't have one... Thanks in Advance...

Bought and installed the jockey wheel on an XT RD, by bongjumper himself at UP parking lot. The original wheel had a visible lateral movement. With the bongjumper wonder wheel, there is no more movement, roll is smooth and tight. Upon installation, improvement is immediately seen.

Hi Edwin, My website is not down but not yet available... I will come to that once the project is a success... new product introduction is very risky... need to consider the after sales, warranty, issues and customer satisfaction... Hi Radarosh, Let me see if I can provide Blue ang gold... since the production line can not make a small quantity only... Xfire and Jtoms is right. If your not satisfied, as long at is not totally wear out... return it to me... I will return your money...

Went to sir Bong's house to get mine for my XT and X7. Sir Bong installed the wheels himself (sir sorry for my dirty RD's n chain..hehehe)..
Yup, he told me that if I was not satisfied i can contact him about it.
Tried the XT (maarat-giant-roxas) today and I definitely noticed an improvement when shifting. Though I still hate the clicking sound of Shimano, at least now I can shift both upwards and downwards while pedaling straight uphill (not having to resort to slowing down or going sideways to shift) without any problems.
I know it maybe too early to tell, but my initial impression is that the wheels provide a definite improvement. Need to test on rockier terrain next. So far so good. Will try the x7 next too.
Sir bong's tip of shifting as the right pedal is almost at the peak of its stroke also helped a lot!
thanks sir bong! great innovation!
the jockey wheels on sir bong's intense were colored straight silver so we should definitely expect more color combinations to come!
