Bros, has anyone purchased/used the new headsets made by crank bros? claimed weight is 65g for the stainless steel and aluminum version, lighter for the Ti version,(for XC, they have models for other applications) looks cool but since its new i'd like to ask for a review from any of you guys. tnx!

I'd be wary of any first year product. Wait a year or two for others to test it and improvements to be made before buying it. Specially with proven headsets like CK and the CC Solo that are at the same price or lower...

probably not a lemon.... i've dealt with Cane Creek directly and they have great CS so if there is anything wrong with the product, they'll make it right... however, if the price is the same, i'd always go for the more proven product from a company that has equally good CS... In this case, Chris King...

amen brad, the CK headset i had for more than ten years proved to be hassle free and was performing like it was always bnew. but the weight being touted by Crank Brothers www.crankbrothers.com/directsets.php for their new Directset headsets is really very appealing to my "weenie" nature, hehehe, but i WILL wait for a proper review before shelling out dough ($90.00 - $130.00 srp). thanks again.
