...maybe it's a newer model?...or depends upon the store...or depends upon the saleslady...jk actually both kings and cycle art sell this nonseries cranks and they are really more expensive than the deore cranks. some says the nonseries are lighter how about their bb, are they the same? When Joolz broke his BB, we got a crankset and weighed and compared the Deore and the Non-series...the weight difference couldn't be 150 grams since the difference of the two are only on the chainrings. The non-series crank has a better looking 42T and 32T and ofcourse lighter. We only weighed one side of both cranks since it was already a fact (for them, people at the LBS) that all other parts are the same. We didn't bother to remember the weight since Joolz won't be using the 42T and the 32T chianrings and would put a bashring instead.

I like the stopping power of these brakes(hydraulic). Gives me confidence whenever i ride. Also its nice and soft. Although im a newbie rider, i compared it already with the mechanical ones. I like these hydraulics way better. guys, any other observations after several months from this quoted past? have you guys seen any leaks or braking problems? I'm planning to get the non-series hydros from my wife's bike instead of the BB7 (mechanical)....

I've been using mine since December and no problems so far. I already replaced the rear brake pads because they're worn out already after 5 months of almost daily use. (I favor the rear brake more than the front, front pads still makapal). They are right, bang for the buck. Before this, I had mechanical brakes and those brakes needs almost weekly maintenance (pad adjustment for wear, cable lubing, cleaning etc), these babies on the other hand is an install and forget kinda thing. Re: non series crankset. When I was in an LBS, I asked for the two cranksets to be taken out, the deore and the non series. Weighted them both and the non-series was lighter by only 50 grams.
