Cranks-similar to the Alivio but is 9 SPEED and an OCTALINK HYDRAULIC BRAKE-DUAL PISTON LEVER-HYDRAULIC HUBS They are the Non-Series Components, not an Acera, not an Alivio nor a Deore but they are installed on branded bikes esp HARO. Have you used this products, any reviews, comments on them. I can comment on the Hydralic Brakes, too soft to Press but the stoping power is great.

I like the stopping power of these brakes(hydraulic). Gives me confidence whenever i ride. Also its nice and soft. Although im a newbie rider, i compared it already with the mechanical ones. I like these hydraulics way better.

The crank is light, i will weigh it later but definitely it's light for its level.

No idea brad, it came in my new bike Haro Flightline Expert, when i replaced it with my older FSA crank, dun ko na notice na napakagaan pala. Maybe the price is in between the Alivio and Deore.
I think Hydros have no caliper adjustment ( am I right fellow mtbikers? ) coz it's self adjusting, try to wait til you reach the brake-in period.
In my case after 2 weeks of use, a little, just a little press stops the bike.

All our good buys. budget wise, they performed well too, but not that better compared to the series type....

uy ayos ah... saan shops pa available? any detailed comparison with the deore hydros? how much are deore hydros by the way?
i have the non-series crankset and hubs. so far so good in 6months of usage--every day bike commute, every other weekend trails, 1-2ft drops only, occasional wet rides and flood waters.

Sirs, did you check the other topic under the brakes section? Base on PinoyMTBiker Aidz he had problem regarding getting of hose replacement... Is it true that it is hard to find some replacement hose for this Shimano non-series hydros? Well I'm contemplating of getting one (sana).
