brad Bocoycoy,
Yap, its a good buy. A set of Hayes 9 cost around 4.7k php (800 rmb) here in Shanghai. But that's okay for the price there in Cebu.
How's your week end rides?

i like the looks of these brakes and the MTBR reviews are not bad either anyone would like to share their personal reviews and if someone would sell it to you for less than P9K (brand new) - would you buy it ;D Hayes HFX 9 Carbon Disc BrakesThe Hayes HFX 9 Carbon Disc Brakes feature light weight Carbon Fibre levers but maintain all the strength of the standard HFX 9. Suitable for Mid range Freeride and XC. Compact Dual Piston Caliper with semi Metallic pads for progressive feel and quiet operation. Reversible HFX-9 lever design for left or right use. www.mtbr.com/reviews/disc_brake_system/product_125287.shtmlIt's an excellent choice and the braking power is superb. I am using a set on my Giant NRS1 Carbon bike. I have actually bought another one - it's the Hayes 10th anniversary version of the HFX9 Carbon (chrome) and am expecting it by next week. Hey guys, check the 10th Anniversary version - now it's USD 149.00 at JensonUSA!

I think it costs USD 149.00 at Jenson's per piece not as a F and R set...

Had just completed the bleeding activity on my rear brake yesterday. Now it performed great. I like the feel of the carbon lever blades.
Even though, my pair is new. I found the rear brake to be spongy. Its a pre-bleeded unit though. Had purchased the Hayes 9 bleeding kit from the shop where I had bought my set... performed the bleeding activity myself... its very easy. I kinda like the Hayes now.
