I saw this frame and most of the comments were that the "rocker bar" looks and feels like plastic.

i tried the Proto before, the one that Athena's using. on the downhill side, the bike is pretty capable. suspension is very active ala stinky especialy when you go fast and on the technical section. the long wheelbase, helps stabilize the bike on turns and descends. on the Freeride side, you can throw it on anything you come across on a trail. it will soaks everything just like any other suspension bike, But it feels a little light on the air. on the AM side, pedaling is not effecient, but probably a good pro-pedal shox will do the trick. Weight is on the average, unlike the proto the tubing of this bike is similar to the prusuit. so, i can't say much about the durability but the reinforced the parts where they neded it. like the shox mounts. i never really had a chance to ride it for very long, just tried it on a couple of jumps, run it on a few DH section and so far i noticed minimal flaws. the best rider to ask for a review is Ely Zapanta, he is the official rider of the bike. so, you'll be seeing him compete's on board this bike in the coming races. in about a month from now, somewhere in montalban.

pics!!!! hmmm.. merida f/s or vision.. only time will tell i guess if you're planning to go AM, get the merida, but if your the type of ridier that loves bruises and scars. get the Vision and put in a descent rear shox. co'z the vision can be whatever rig you want, it depends on how you set it up.

190mm...hmmmmmmm......that's not a travel length.... that is the eyelet to eyelet or i2i of the rear shocks that will fit the frame.
travel may vary between 5 to 6inch tavel.....

Cant go wrong with it brad...the only good challenge to the price of this bike is the Merida group but as stated those are for AM mostly...2nd hand = Jamis XLT series at the price level...well you decide

I was at cycling options today and Ef put the Vision FS on the digital scale. around 3.3 kilos (7.26 lbs). not bad for a 6" travel frame. the hardtail was a bit heavy for XC racing, but at a good weight for an all around bike- 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs). the revelation was the Easton tubed Shawn H-1. around 1.5 kg (3.4 lbs) for the large frame, 1.45 kg (3.2 lbs) for small! does anyone know how much it weighs?

ahhh..... the cruizer? i rigged it to a white world cup boxxer(now sold) and a fox vanilla RC shock from my old Kona stab d-lux.. ;D some sunn double wides and a few XT stuff... now its rigged to an 07' boxxer race fork..... all i can say about the cruizer after 2 months? awesome performance.... with the right set-up it can be built as a mid-level DH race bike... or a medium hit FR bomber.. ;D yes "D" is right it sucks up everything ;D just huck it and it will fly..... the lightweight characteristic of the frame has its pros and cons... its just a matter of how you tune it to your riding style and believe me you could do so much with a cruizer. ;D NO! i havent tried it on anything more than 10 ft.... im still enjoying the ride..... ;D
