Hehe, sorry for the noob question, but what i have in mind is the opposite way. I fancy the clipless design so if I buy the Exustar or Shimano shoes, 1) what else do I need to buy? 2) What bang-for-the -buck clipless pedals should I buy then? I know what amny would say, you should go with the pedals-then-shoes format, but just for the sake of a curious mind, let's give this a shot i actually started with the shoes first. took me almost a year before i bought clipless pedals. ;D exustar is bang for your buck.

Diadora for epic or adventure rides. Sidi for XC and trail riding. Nike and shimano for DH. Sidi and Exustar carbon for road.

Ive had 4 shimano shoes na and its like you use till you make sawa. Im jaded already using them and sometimes I kinda look elsewhere or use another one coz Its like wearing uniform to school or work. But they do last long and perform well. A little heavy though and fitting is not 100%. Its the wearers prfferance when it comes to fitting, Sidi and Nike fits me well.

Adidas Minrett - as it looks like a pair ordinary shoes and it matches my maong pants even when not using it for riding. Double purpose....

my Vans gave up on me...during our last ride at sta rosa trail...im using airwalk now!...i just hope it wont end up the same as vans....(1yr lng...) 1 thing I hate about Airwalk is... I was simple walking at megamall (with my girl 2003) when suddenly i feel less weight on my right food... when i turn my back... I left the sole about 10M where I'm presently standing. not as good as Vans (nubuck model??? its with a strap, darn can't recall). my nephew is using my Vans after I decided not to wear it anymore.

you mean since 1992? ???btw, what year did clipless pedals originate? The first clipless pedal was invented in 1895 by Charles Hanson while the first modern clipless pedal was invented by Cino Cinelli in 1971. The first practical clipless pedal was made by LOOK in 1984. It was only in 1985 when cyclists secured acceptance of quick release clipless pedals when Bernard Hinault won the Tour de France using clipless pedals.
