Why are some people hesitant to go clipless (in any of its forms...spd, eggbeater, time)?
Is there any truth to clipless pedals making a biker accident prone?
Let's try and find out...and this is addressed to people who have used clipless pedals at one point or another... temporarily or permanently ;D

I for one went clipless, then decided to go back to dark age. I got several crashes using clip. Last time I had it, it was after a rain I slide in a very muddy trail. Can't remove it in time, fell and get mud all over my body. So that was it, it is now collecting dust. Clipless gives you about 15% more power, but I ride because of exercise and enjoyment rather than racing to beat the clock. It is a personal preference, others like it some don't.

I fell with my bike once upon full stop and I can't disengage my spd . This cause of full of mud. For me I never go back to flat form (probably once ;D ;D ;D). Clipless help a lot on climbing and decending. I don't think that clipless pedals are prone to accident. Actually for me.. being not clip on my comfidence is not the same.

Yang may clits dapat sa Racer na lang yan o sa rigid mtb, kapag XC o Trail, DS, o DH dapat flat pedal na lang, delikado mabagok/semplang tayo.

New Clipless convert " peer pressure & desperate for added pedalling performance "..... it really works.....all spd users ( here in munti ) said its scary at 1st but later on it becomes automatic ( engagement & disengage )...... i am a stubborn learner.....learned the hard way that it really disengages after the fall......ouch !.....climbs and flats become more manageable on long rides.....
