Hi there guys, i just had to share this one in hoping it will provide good review in choosing a bike lock...
I rode to my bank at Quiapo yesterday and locked my bike to the railings...
Then the thought of where i hid my keys escaped me... oh my...i lost my keys!!!
This prompt me to SOS to my nearby compadres to help me "cut" my chain. Good thing i got the security guard as witness for my bike's ownership in preventing further scandal. I also had to inform him that we'll resort to "lagare" the chain. He obliged and let me loiter around til my friend arrives.
Then 30 mins later my friend came in rescue with two bolt cutters.
At first we thought it will be a jiffy and we'll walk away without much people noticing since we have Industrial-Quality Bolt Cutters. However, the asero fibres proved to be a toughie!
It took us 10-12mins coz the bold cutter just cannot cut right through; plus the plastic shielding provide extra "kunat" to the effort.
We also had to cut some strands by apply quick wiggling and bending to make them give in.
Man, good thing no one took notice and scandal, not even a lespu on his scoot 10meters away. That video posted up there is true, nobody cares much if you have bolt cutters hehe
as illustrated are references.
this is the cut Master Lock-type with a colored plastic shielding and asero fibres... P108.00 at SM hardware

Upon going home, I tried a same bolt cutter to an old chain and i cut it in a snap!
Conclusively, these fiber'd bike locks prove to be effective for its intended purpose.
Yeah, thieves may still cut them but you buy more time using these master locks rather than a solid chain or lock
