according to Richard Cunningham, an editor and cyclist of Mountain Bike magazine (if i'm not mistaken) LX '05 has a smoother shifting than XTR and XT.

hmmm... may balak... Go for it brad! I'm actually saving my money for this groupset. The difference mainly with XT is the weight and materials used for some of the parts. If you are tight on budget... try to consider Deore 2006 groupset... This "overhaul" made Deore 2006 perform like an XT and LX operation-wise... however a little bit heavier. www.shimano.com.au/publish/content/australia/en/cycling/news___events/new_arrival__deore.htmlOr your may also consider... Shimano Hone... looks better and sturdier than LX (I guess).

Let's do a year end ride up Tagaytay... Gronnz and some of his friends have a tentative ride tomorrow... pero baka di muna ako sumama. After continuous raining the past few days (that includes this evening), I think the trails will be very muddy... anyway... let us see tomorrow. Probably I'll just do a roadie up to Westgrove.
