Wassup? I'm a newbie. Looking for a good quality disc-ready adaptor for my old GT downhill frame. Was told of the Amoeba brand that can be found in Quiapo or Cartemar. Any suggestions? Thanks!

hmm...AFAIK, db adaptors are suited per frame. my old RTS 3 was fitted with a db adaptor from a machine shop. better bring your frame to the LBS. if that doesn't work out, you might want to try sir boyet (boyetworks), i'm pretty sure he might be able to fabricate an adaptor for you.

I highly recommeng that you not use those aftermarket disc brake adaptors for DH riding, brad! you need adaptors to really fit your frame and not have any play which will result in cracks etc Check out the works of Boyetworks.... his items are not that pricey considering the fact that DH is a risky sport HTH!
