good day! has anyone tried using kenda small block eight? ok ba sya and how much? It's a good tire for cross country & road rides. It sticks well & has a better rolling resistance compared to other knobbed tires on the road. Soft rubber gives a cushy ride. If you ride 60% road & 40% x-country, I'd recommend this tire. Its also a good tire for dry to lightly wet x-ride conditions. Positive: Price: It'll only cost you around P600-800 a piece. Weight: Light Grip: Great for x-country & road, Corners really well on all kinds of pavement. Great all-around tire! Neg: It just gives a loud "Whurring" sound on hard pavement. Grip: Not recommended for muddy trails. Small packed knobs gum up with mud.

good day! has anyone tried using kenda small block eight? ok ba sya and how much? Once your SB8 is worn down, it starts to skid. Which is fine because sudden braking in the rear and skidding to a halt looks cool. What you don't want is to skid your front tire because you lose control this way (semplang). I observed the common practice of using SB8 at the rear and using a bigger/knobbier/sticky tire in front (instead of using SB8 exclusively). The SB8 used to cost P1100 each, it's way cheaper now? Same KENDA branded with the packaging?

thanks sleepydog and gadgets88! the bikeshop i've been sells it for P1350 (allterra). P600-800 is really cheap! saan shops kaya meron nito? anyway, i plan to change my rear, a WTB nanoraptor to SB8. I'll keep my specialized fast track in front.

Brian Lopes uses SB8 as rear tires and Blue Groove in his 4X setup. (on the other hand, Kenda does not guarantee BL-like stokin performance when you use this combo hehehe ) I used SB8 for about 8 months last year. Indeed they are nice all rounder tires which I used for just about every kind of condition. The 1.95 version is very light and rolls really fast even on pavement. The downside is that it has thin sidewalls so is a little bit more prone to pinch flat compared to heavier tires. It is also the favorite victim of glass bits and other sharp road debris. I also managed to wear down my rear SB8 into semi-slick condition after about 3000kms of riding. Among the tires that I have owned - it is also alas, the most slippery on pavement when wet.
