Specialized Roll X race Budget and weight wise, these tires a winner, its just a bit short from being awesome. great grip on the trails, loose rocks,muddy,dusty...basically any type of terrain with the proper pressure. the only thing i didnt like is its a bit heavy on the asphalt.the thread pattern is heavy on the road even with the highest pressure possible pumped in. These tires are using soft compound similar to Stick-E compound on the nevegals. they are high volume tires so there is that added cushion given the proper tire pressure. i give it 8 out of 10 stars. BTW some say they wear out fast, possibly due to the soft compound, will know soon. ***** added note: ***** rode again the other day (Me fave route AFP - Maarat) and i became deeply in love with these tires! at first, the start of the ride would be the punishing road climb so i set the pressure to the max and felt just a lil of the heaviness on the road (might be getting used to it na) then once i reached the peak (basketball court near tri femme) i adjusted the tire pressure to a bit of a softer feel and i continued the 50++% more of the climbs.the first part was the gravel road before the last punishing road.that is where i felt the greatness of these tires, being a high volume tire,it provided extra cushion on the rocky terrain (felt like i was using a soft tail ;D ) and the grip was superb.the part where i usually dismount using the previous tires was hassle free this time.just pedalled my way through. i am sold out to these tires.the heaviness on the road i can bear with the effectiveness it gives on the trails. i give it 9 out of 10 this time (less one just because its a bit heavy on the road )

Wait til you try out a set of 2.0 Karmas: lighter but as thick if not thinner than 1.95 Nevegals. Thus, not compromising the rider's skill! hehehehehe

I have a concern with my Maxxis High Rollers. I'm a bit new to mtbiking and I've used them ever since I ditched my mall pair. I use a 2.1 pair front and rear for my XC bike. They do grip moderately ok & roll real fast but I do feel that there is something about control/braking as my rear seems to skid & its hard to corner. Technical downward slopes/trails gave me the jitters last time. Is it the pressure? Am I using em wrong? Or do I need need a diff tire?

Its hard to get an all around tires these days, but for trails I would prefer the Kneda Nevegals...I got mine a month ago (26 x 2.1) at Sabak and have seen action at the Sta Rosa Trails...grips a lot during climbs at the Cardiac hill....corners well at the single tracks and since its high volume it survived banging on the the Upak trail...the Stick-E compound grips well but looks like it wears out fast too....if you can get the DTC for the back tire - that would be great. For road work...just pump in some high air pressure to reduce rolling resistance.

the specialized roll x tires are great. i think i had the 2.0 roll x race, the P350/ea. overruns that they had in john wilkie a couple of years ago. my problem with them was that they were too wide for my rear triangle and they picked up maarat mud too quickly. they were also pretty heavy compared to the 2.0 kenda karmas i replaced them with. the roll x were great, but i like the karmas better.

wtb veloci raptors 2.1 folding front - very good rolling resistance and traction is great........
kenda claw xt 1.95 rear rolling resistance is quite hard if pressure is 30psi......i tried it at 40psi......it rolls great....... ;D
wtb weirwolf 2.3 - goin downhill its like weirwolf have bitten the soil.......... it grips
medusa maxxis 2.1 silkworm folding - very good. used on my SS..... good in dusty trails and grips like lizard in wet and muddy trails..........

if you can still get your hands on folding specialized adrenaline tires, they are a great front xc tire, with good cornering grip. The roll-x race was also good.
