yup.....my friend gave me one the other day.....apple green yung frame and lens. Takes some getting used to. Anyway......I'm happy with my specialized adaptalites. Honestly they are pricey (P6800) but like what woofers said..... you get what you pay for.

Nice set of optics you got there woofs, pricey too. I think it's worth it, considering the Oakleys have excellent optical clarity, and the Rudys have a lifetime warranty and great customer service. Unfortunately, I lost my Straight Jackets on a trip to Galera, and now I have to get a new pair.

I have an old-school all-weather ray-ban that was so cool 15yrs ago....but now it's sooooo out-of-style already. Does anybody know if I can have the lenses modified to fit newer style frame? I don't have the money to buy those Rudy's and Oakley's btw And I get migraines when I use sunglasses priced below 500 pesos

I was told that the color of the shade can cause headaches if it is not right for you. I used to get tired eyes when wearing my Serengetti sunglasses so I sold it in Ebay. My eyes would turn redish after wearing these shades.
I'm currently using the Specialized Single Track and I'm quite happy with it. It's perfect for the trails I ride as I go in and out of the woods. The lens changes its shade farely quickly. No more hassle of bringing extra lenses.
My M-frame is now gathering dust as it is too dark. I just use it for riding along the pathway.

I suggest you hold on to it. Teenagers and those fashion conscious are starting to wear this type of shades.

i still have a couple of those old school aviators somewhere. i wouldnt use them for biking thugh. the glass lenses are heavy and if you crash they'll probably break. i had a pair of those (spyders). they made me dizzy because of the refraction. i think the best bang for the buck are the Fury brand. the lenses are pretty good and they cost a little over P1000 i think.

Using spyder as well.... no problem with the plastic lenses, if the sunglasses lens quality is not good (distortion & some imperfection), I always get headaches because of eyestrain. I use a gray lens for my spyder...its cheap, wont have problems if you left it or bang it during the ride.
Well talking about Oakley or Rayban...had my share of Rayban aviator's since high school...good lens, I prefer the their Photochromic models.
Then later bought a pair of Oakley Halfjacket from PinoyMTBiker member Gabe. Man! those sunglasses as cool...I dont mean the looks but the lens quality. We were out riding on amusement park...my officemate are wondering I dont have problems of it falling. Oh well except that freefall ride which the staff asked me to remove.

I had a golf specific Oakley Zero. The best! .... until it broke near the ear stem for no reason at all (except age maybe). Problem with the zeros, its the lens that holds everything together, not a frame, which you can change.

i'm using spyders. can't say i'm bothered by refraction, but i have to say that i only put them on to protect my eyes from debris and not necessarily to shade my eyes.
more often than not, i find myself removing my sunglasses because it mists up! anyone else have this problem? i have to wipe off moisture on the lens everytime... i wonder if this also happens in more expensive shades

anyone used mojave sunglases? the one featured on home TV shopping, they say its indestructible , and doesn't have those magnification problems mentioned. i'm currently using mojave's but yeah it will cost around 2K. there was a sale sometime in landmark, mojave's price tag was 1200. then there was an offer at home tv shopping, a buy 1 take 1. yup, no distortion or anything. it's not 100% scratch proof but yeah they're close to being indestructable

have that problem too. i read somewhere that the drops used for diving masks to prevent fogging works for glasses too. haven't tried it yet though... the one for diving? we use toothpaste. i also remember the time when our diving instructor refer to this certain bottle of liquid as "anti-fog solution", although i'm pretty sure it was just shampoo. toothpaste and the "anti-fog solution" works in diving, but isn't fogging in diving masks different from fogging sunglasses? i have to remember to try that though any other riders have a solution?

I remember trying to change the lens of my friend's mojave and it snapped like a toothpick! Had to pay for the d@mn thing as the frame isn't covered by the warranty, just the freakin lenses. Pretty dumb, if you ask me

got a question for guys with the spyders. i was looking at a pair and i noticed the rubber parts on the nose stem and the ear stem, my experience with my oakleys are they get worn out after a while but you could buy replacements. i asked the saleslady if it's the same with spyders and she said replacements are not available. is this true? and do the rubber pieces wear out quickly?

BTW, they also told me that they also sell the nose pad @p50/pc. bring it over to them and they will replace and install it in such a way that the fit becomes permanent (naka mighty-bond na)
I lost mine kasi eh so I asked them.
Hope this helps those who had lost their nosepad/s too.
