Wow! great feat , brad Jessie! what s the total distance pls? and how were the uphills..were there relief points ? thanks for sharing! From Rosario Junction it must be around 38 kms or a total of 76 kms...best part of course is the descent. Actually from Rosario itself is already a gradual uphill and you will not notice it until the reverse when you don't need to pedal. I have no computer as I lost it during our San Fabian ride. Let me say, there is a recovery and you can even use your middle ring BUT once you approach the Lion head, it's a punishment. What makes it so difficult is the number of vehicles passing by and you have little space to prepare the ascend. It was a Saturday morning and expect more vehicles going up Baguio. For those who are climbing for the coming days, I suggest you take a rest and reload in a store just about 100 meters towards the Lion Head on the right side. There are tables and seats for you to relax and Manang is very accomodating. Relief points you need not worry. There are a lot of small restaurants and stores along the way. Toilets for a fee abound the route as well including water for washing...

told you its a one of a kind experience. lalo na pag solo. congrats! how long did it take you? if you took time to enjoy the scenery then its time well spent. It took me a lot of time climbing as I have a lot of picture taking stops. I have also stopped twice for food as I was craving for papaitan and "raning" and not to forget my "kuwentuhan" with the resto ladies. I started at 6:30 AM from Rosario and I was back at a Rosario restaurant by past 12:00 NN. I did it at a very enjoyable pace as I kept reserving my energy as I told to myself - I should not fail. I was experiencing cramps on my left thigh on the climbs after the Lion head but I kept on and that was my most frightening moment coz of vehicle traffic which makes my climbing space narrower. Best way to climb Baguio is to enjoy the scenery. Forget about the time, enjoy, we are not racing anyway...and I enjoy the descent so much...my body (heavy gat eh) will make me faster than anyone else without pedaling coz of my weight and aerodynamic positioning...sarap! I am supposed to do the reverse all the way to Villasis but archangel1911 (Dr. Ray Soriano) my dentist called me up while I was at the Lion head and would like me to come to his clinic to rush my false teeth and hence, he picked me up at Rosario and went with him to Urdaneta in his car and he brought me as well to Villasis afterwards...thanks to the Urdaneta City Cycling Club (Pres. Roy del Prado, Atty. Sonny Arboleda and colleagues) and to my newly found cycling buddies - Manong Winifredo Baguio (Tour of Luzon veteran), Mang Boy Arzadon and my tukayo - Jessie Garcia...I enjoyed your company guys! Thanks Tofi...I am fulfilled and I am gonna be back next year...

better delay your flight Jess, join the halimaws when they conquer baguio next month. You do the trangko coz their energy will be preserved for the ascend towards Baguio. Wohoo!!! Adiktus Maximus ka!!!! Walang ganyan sa UAE (Trans. There's no place like home) ;D

Mabrook Habibi! trans= Congrats Papi Im sure you can tell me which restaurant sells the best food, delicacy after doing this ride. ;D It's easy, half way through Baguio, there are 4 small restos on the left, infront of these are trucks being cleaned...choose the resto on the left with a young lady cashier/owner...sarap kausap and they have what I was looking for - papaitan, raning and the lady...I can't remember the name of the resto though (even if I know, I won't divulge it, mader is looking at my posts sometimes) but I know very well the place he he he time is so short talaga...even in Rosario, there is this store with the lady owner kaso, kilala pala ni Doctor he he he

Hi Jessie! Atty. Montejo here. I see that your Merida Mission has taken you safely to a lot of places here in the Philippines, especially up north in Luzon. Same here for me in Leyte. Very dependable, faultless, flawless bicycle. Thank you for posting your pictures. Regards.
