may nasubukan na ba kayo na gulong yung tinatawag na generic tapos ok naman ang performance?
simple lang dahilan ko eh..kailangan ko na yatang magpalit pero wala na akong budget.. ;D ;D
naalala ko kasi dati 1992-93 di ako sure kenda gamit ko pero nung panahon na yon nakakahiya yun..hehe!

pre, me mga cheap na branded na tires ah. dami nung specialized pero not sure if they're immitations, factory-rejects or what. pero daming gumagamit nun and i don't hear any complaints yet. check mo sa quiapo pre. pero if you need one fast, all-terra pinakamalapit sa tin. meron sila dung kenda tires (karma ata pero not sure) for around P550? try mo rin sa marikina, lapit din sa tin yun.  |

cheapest tires (both branded and generic) can be found in quiapo nga. you can still find P350-380 Maxxis, Kenda different models. syempre may tawad pa. pero relative kasi ang cheap eh. sakin pag lampas na ng P500 ang tire mahal na yun. maybe not for, say Staind or Gulli hehe (mga orig roll-x at nokians gamit ng mga yan eh hehe 1k upwards per tire) no name brands retail for P200 or less (pero may branded din na bumababa nang ganyan minsan. case in point: recently may nakita ako WTB Motoraptor selling for P250 somewhere sa Quiapo. ganun usually pag old stock or last piece or pair have bought quite a few generic tires before when i was starting out (LHR yung brand ng isa) ...pero why go for generic kung may mura na branded?  |

Jane of kings explained to me why there are some popular brand of tyres that are being sold dirtcheap in our country is that because them tyres are from surplus
which means over production daw(which bikester explained z meaning of surplus) No need to worry daw that is it is fake. And notice that cheap tyres does not boxes, sleeves and shite? Mas maliit siguro ang tax pag walang mga ganoon. Am using ritchey innovader. bought for P250.each hehehe and you know what? some mall bikes even has branded tires na naliligaw.
I got my Kenda kinetics from a mall bike.
Tolits
Kendas are quality tires, wala lang marketing @#$% noon kaya dehins sya popular or wala sa highlight.
Usually pag inendorse ng mga pro riders nagmamahal.. which i think suck! (No wnder nike is so d@mn expensive!)

I bought my Ritchey Z-max 1.9 from quiapo, 250 each, steel bead. The rubber seems a bit soft but no ripped knobs yet, seemed to get cut up a bit on a particular trail I rode, must be the rocks

Mayroon akong nakita na Maxxis sa amin worth P250.00. May brian lopes na signature.... cant remember yung model. sabihin mo sakin if gusto mo magpabili.
i think there are a number of tires that arent as popular as the ones we use which are of equal quality.... di lang natin ma-rate dahil wala gumagamit.

What the f#%k . P250!!!... I got ripped off.... I paid 450 a piece just a month ago at Cartimar. yup! it's a fact na generally mas mura naman kasi sa quiapo. Anong size ba yung binili mo brad? ako kasi i bought my motoraptor 2.4s sa cartimar (paulina's) for P400 only becoz wala ganung size sa quiapo. yung nakita ko dun are 2.1s. really cheap tires do pop up from time to time...dapat lang maagap so that means more visits to the LBS |

time to look for these in aramid bead (folding).

eto naman recently i came across with some bogus tires sa isang shop din sa quiapo (the one sa may dulo na with trophies and other sh*t)
saw a couple of 'WTB motoraptors' pero upon closer inspection it has the exact same thread design/pattern of maxxis high-rollers. so japeyks talaga dahil pinaghalo tapos obvious na pineke din yung logo ng WTB. medyo unfair lang sa mga newbie at naive pag nakakuha ng ganito (anyway dadaan at dadaan naman tlaga sa ganito)
meron din mukhang peke na tioga tapos may isa pa maxster daw ang tatak...parang mobster ng maxxis ang pagkakagawa. funny pero medyo nakakiinis hehe

Expensive tire is not always an assurance of quality.
My panaracer suddenly blew got ripped apart! while crusing somewhere in subic. Panaracer Smoke by National tire co. Kevlar bead Fabrique Au Japon. Piece of Junk
Nakakahinayang bumili ng expensive tires. Wear and tear part kasi. A P600 buck tire is enough for me. ;D
(But my tire is only P250 hehehehe).

by chance nga lang ang dating ng surplus. Kung ano lang ang dumating. the bike shop does not order them specifically. Kung ano lang daw dumating.
mga tao
May mga tires nga na mahina sidewall. naexperice ko din yan. Kevlar ba inyo? alam ko ito ang isang sakit ng kevlar bead tires, nasisira ang sidewall. Mayroon ako dating Specialized Ground Control Extreme dehins ko ginamit yung bikes ng ilang months pero naisra na lang all of a sudden.

wow! mga branded pero okey ang mga presyo. bumili ako ng Panaracer Speedblaster 1.9 & 1.75 @ P900.00/ea.  kailangan ko kasi ng pangcommute na tires, ito lang ang available sa province namin at that time. |
