Anybody ever heard of these hubs? These are equipped with sealed bearings with FATBOY printed in yellow.
I can't find any reviews in the internet, and I'm still a newbie so I dont know how to rate their perforance. Di pa naman umaalog since July when I bought them...

Bikester - Ok naman pare kaso tayong dalawa lang yata ang meron nun sa buong universe eh hehe ... fullspeed, your sense of humor never fails! ;D wish i could help you dude, but don't know anything bout those parts. Fat Boy sounds familiar tho, aren't they a sister company or affiliate of Harley Davidson motorcyles? Wonder if they're the same major sponsor in US mtb races...

ok yung fatboy, dahil sealed bearings, pero pag plano mag patalon-talon e dehins pwedwe sayo yon, magaan dahil aluminum yung spindle, pwedeng palitan yung bearings, pag nasira mo yung free hub patay kana though medyo matagal yon.at ang huli, dain sya fatboy, pansinin mo sticker lang yung fatboy, pag tangal mo ng sticker fast ace ang nakalagay.naway nakatulong po ako.

The hubs being sold as "Fatboy" hubs are actually manufactured by Fast Ace in Taiwan. They had a webpage I found before, but I can't find it anymore.
I have these hubs on my urban/trials bike. Nice and smooth so far. The DH riders from Powerbikes ride these, so I guess they're OK.

Really not sure how tough the FAT BOY HUBS is, it made me think twice using this specially one lady biker from MTBAdiks egroups complained her FB hubs "died" on her(disc hubs)...sorry for the term since I dont know whats the cause. But resorting on replacing it with XT Disc hubs instead.
Anyway to get the idea how she uses her bike, she just regularly joins adventure racing ;D

Yun kay Bikester hanggang ngayon ok pa since July last year...considering na Fat Boy sya ha (yun rider ;D) And they are lighter than the Deore

I'm using FAST ACE disc hubs pero may sticker na FAT BOY before. It's been a year already and I still don't have any problem with the hubs.

I replied too early regarding problems with FATBOY hubs. I recently discovered that the axle of the hub is aluminum though it's light, it's not durable. As I experienced during my last ride nabali yung axle ng rear hub ko Buti na lang nakabalik pa ako and was able to find a replacement chromo axle 2 days later.

Guys with fatboys ;D,
Would you advise na eto na lang ang bilhin instead of deore or deore lx hubs? (for aggro- XC and small jumps and drop-offs)
tenks

Would you advise na eto na lang ang bilhin instead of deore or deore lx hubs? (for aggro- XC and small jumps and drop-offs) Last week I met a group of riders at UP hitting the dirt jumps at the the parking lot and doing stair drops behind Vinzons on their hardtails. For the most part they were using Acera and Alivio components. So yes, if Acera and Alivio will work, I think both Fatboy and Deore will do fine for small jumps.

Max parang kamukha ni Jon Santos (circa- bad hair day-80s) yang asian prince kuno na yan ah hehe
Hmm, so i guess Deore hubs will do eh? And since we're still on the subject, tanong ko lang: how important are the hubs in ensuring quality ride? I think na-compromise ko yung hubs ng two bikes ko in favor of other components like fork, derailleur, rims etc.
