We four riders of Orient are Bearing bikes we traverse afar Field and fountain, moor and mountain Following yonder star As riding buddies, we have gotten along very well. Many a weekend have been spent on the roads of Metro Manila or the "hills" of Rizal. But, we have never had a ride which lasted longer than a few hours. Well, as we all know, since time immemorial, MTBikers have always wanted to push the "envelope." So, as a test of friendship, we decided to see how many kilometers or hours we can stand to be in each other's company. So, 250 kilometers to Baguio seemed exactly what we needed. So, off we went... Kilometer Zero. But, before everything we needed some inspiration... some divine... and others ummm... also divine. (Meet our muse, kawen ) Our Photo Op before leaving the Metro. Some on the road shots... If there seems like alot of road pictures, it's because it is a very long way to... Pampanga! A Stop over in San Fernando marked 70kms. and then dinner in Dau. We took a quick after dinner nap at Mabalacat. And left Pampanga for good! Our first order of business in Tarlac, of course, was to sleep some more! Where we found the 5-Star, Gerona Gas and Go! Though some of us, slept more soundly than others. We all had enough energy the next day for more biking... After a hearty breakfast, of course. Which marked 160km. A little more biking, and a short ummm... shower. We were on the long road again. Til we hit Pangasinan. PART II to follow

A little more biking, a lot of picture taking, a few rests, and we reached our DOUBLE CENTURY! Which we celebrated with some Pinipig, Pangasinan-style. And some took a short nap. After which we had to get back to business... Because La Union beckoned! Where we prepared for the assault on the mountain by lunching at... Chowking, yup from San Mateo to La Union, we love Chowking. After a long, lazy lunch, we couldn't delay the inevitable any longer and we had to head out... to our last province for the trip, the Mountain one! Which meant one thing... climbing! Which meant another thing... resting! and then more climbing. We finally got to the Lion's Head right after dark. Unfortunately, it got too dark to take pictures. Until dinner. Which powered us to the last push towards... BAGUIO!

Wow! Kudos to you guys and thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Sir/s, may we know how long did the trip took all in all? How many days and hours on the road? Routes you took going to Baguio?
Regards,
Mike

I should point out that this trip is not as hard as some may think it is.
We're hardly superhuman riders, just bikers with perhaps too much time on our hands.
It can easily be managed by anyone with a little bike experience. Our friend Brian only picked up biking a few months ago, and he's a real weekend biker only. Before this trip, his longest ride was the ToF X!
What I'm trying to say is that you can do it if you want, we took it slow, rested alot and enjoyed each other's company.
To answer Sir Mike's question, we took more or less 37 hours to get from Dan's house in QC to the Baguio City Arch, taking MacArthur Hwy all the way then Kennon.
I hope this encourages more people to try.
