Most of us are aware of having our local version of Playboy Magazine which was launched a Grand Sofitel in Pasay City. Heard a lot of news sparked about people who are against this publication (e.g. church and women rights group). any comments?

 some people really!!! (with yano's banal na aso, santong kabayo playing in the background) did they do somethin when red, 18, amateur, and other "new-age, open-minded" men's mags came out? huh?! huh?!! huh?!!! ( oh i miss those mags! hahahaha! ;D) curahee!

i heard the interview with their editor-in-chief (who's a female btw) over the radio. one interesting though, Playboy Philippines will not have nudity it seems. lots of skin yes, but no nudity, supposedly to cater to the sophisticated Pinoy man's taste, and even other demographics as well perhaps. Seems they want to position this as a lifestyle magazine perhaps.
What I don't get really is, all these so-called morality groups up in arms over this. Sure Playboy has this image of nudity,sex, etc, HOWEVER, why aren't they up in arms over so many lewd publications that are being sold on the streets, with, not only nudity and stuff but tasteless stories as well that? Why aren't they targetting Abante, etc etc?
Sometimes I think these groups simply have nothing better to do with their spare time. I don't here them raising awareness on sexual health, sex education, etc which could help a lot of women. I won't even raise the topic of family control which is a real problem that the church just keeps on denying.

STOP THE CONSERVATIVES! LETS BE LIBERAL!(meaning still being liberal in the right place) Playboy has been in existence in the US since 1953 and has right now international versions in Japan, Australia, Brazil, Singapore and in mostly first-world countries, so Pinas right now is going with the flow! FHM Pinas anyways is also showing skins as well as Red 18. Again opinion lang, peace to the catholic believers because im catholic as well! |

How can they sell the local Playboy as a lifestyle magazine when everybody knows what Playboy is really all about? I won't drop a singkong duling on the local Playboy.
I've even stopped buying FHM Phils. because they started using too much Photoshop on their girls. Any collector out there can verify how dolled up the models are (especially on the cover) today compared to the models they had back then.
The issues of FHM during its first three years were the best- very naughty. Today's issues are so lame.
