Do correct me if I'm wrong.. but I guess my eyebrow raised a notch when I saw this bike being rolled around the MOA Esplanade area and was being peddled for 50, count 'em, 50 thousand. If someone was carrying around a bag of 40k, that would have been a done deal. Now, why did I wonder? First off, the guy didn't know anything about the bike, its components, it's specs.. blah blah blah. When asked about the rims... "Pare, D321 ba iyan?" The reply was: Ano iyon? dehins ko alam kung anong size nito eh." My question is: Is there anyone here who had a Bullit who disappeared? If not, and this bike is duly and legally-owned, then I can sleep well.

@ Nasty,
All I can say for now is that the guy who was offering this bike for sale doesn't know anything about this bike and its components... which then caught the attention of some riders who were eyeing him and the bike. After all, who can build a Bullit without knowing anything about mountain bikes?
I am hoping that the person that you saw using this bike in Sta. Rosa sold it to the person I saw last Sunday. If that is the case, all's well that ends well. But if this turns out to be a stolen bike... then certain wheels need to turn.

i doubt the guy selling it bought it from the orig owner.
if you don't know a lot about bikes, would you buy a bike like that? that would easily surpass the 70k mark i believe.
kawawa naman yung tunay na may-ari.

let's just hope the scenario is similar to what happened to a friend of mine. rich guy wanted his car repaired. the brother of my friend repaired the car, the rich guy offered a bling bling bike that he's not using for payment.
the brother accepted, but since he's not into cycling, decides to sell the bike at a cost he feels he should be paid.
other than that.....could anyone get the serial number of the frame? maybe we could trace the original owner.

Best thing to do in a case like this is act really interested, and get the guy's phone number. That way if it turns out to be stolen, you can call him up and "make a deal".

if you had posted this matter to inform, that's well and good. but if it is to present an accusation (the way i see it) then.... it's one thing to inform, it's another thing to "ACCUSE" (see red prints in bold below) anyways, if we can present concrete evidence of what we say, then a lot of P M T B peepz, savers, to mention one i'm sure can take proper action. if not, please save our accusations. people.... let's be responsible with our posting, this is a forum read by a thousand or so members. responsiblity should be a rule of thumb. should have posted this thread on the stolen bike section, there is possibility, altho those people are engage in buying and selling used bikes they nevertheless encouraging, tho indirectly, stealing bikes. guys im not saying that those i saw this morning are fence, pero may possibility di ba? (but theres possibility?) just a hunch, brad saver what do you think? hey guys, got this reminder before, perhaps take reference also.

Good call, Santino.
That bike's pretty decked out. If the guy who's selling it doesn't even know what his rims are, that's almost a give away that it is stolen.
Someone has to act really interested in the bike, get his contact no. & get as much info about the bike as possible. It would be easy to catch him when there's a lot of info on why, what, when & how the bike is being sold like that.
