this thread gets me thinking. what if........ 1) i park my bike in trinoma (before mall hours). i wonder if they will allow it. 2) ride the mrt. 3) get down at ayala 4) get my 2nd commuter bike from an ayala parking lot. (i also wonder if the bike can be left overnight). 5) ride with a happy face to the office. then hopefully i can do this when going home, he he he. In Metro Stations in LA (well, thats in LA) they have bike lockers. Cool!!! I wish we have them here in RP where we can rent em so we just pedal to the MRT leave em there. Wishful thinking...I just hope someday the govt will have broad plans for bikers

he he he, I've seen the same in Helsinki, Finland. They have bike racks in all train stations. At the Central station (downtown), there are lots of bikes for rent. you insert a 1 Euro coin, and the lock disengages. when you return the bike, it gets locked and your 1 Euro is ejected back.
i just just don't know if the bikes for rent have standard sized components. since selling it part by part would be a disaster to a thief.

here in the town where i live in the uk, there are a lot of bike racks in the town centre. there are bike lanes too. motorists are very courteous to cyclists like me. in the train stations there are bike racks and one can also bring their bikes inside the train. some trains have sections for bikes and other stuff. i don't have a car here and its very liberating to not worry about fuel prices, car maintenance, car taxes and licenses for a change. i hope someday our beloved philippines can catch up. kudos to ayala mgmt. for providing bike racks.

It's nice to bike at night, when everyone is almost done shopping. At Trinoma, wifey and I buy our favorite pastry/pie in Conti's and coffee in Starbucks. Have them al fresco. Then head home. .

How about SM? Does anybody know where to park there? I went there last month to their covered parking hoping to find a bike parking but the guard told me dun sa labas. So I went outside and the guard outside pointed me to a rack that can accomodate 10 bikes but I think 20 bikes are all crammed into it. So I said sige di bale na lang sa iba na lang. So I just rather go home than risk my bike getting scratches all over.

Was able to park my bike and locked with the secus and parking attendant visible. i even left my helmet and stuff sa parking ticket booth. no headaches at all.

Just wondering....Haven't tried it yet..are there available parking lanes(bike racks) in other Malls too? Say SM malls, how much will they charge for the parking space for bikes? Would it be safe to park in there? TIA.

TIA. there sure are some "bike-friendly" establishments, and knowing where to park is not really too hard, oftentimes the sekyu knows we already did here's a related thread to help you out brad. pinoymtbiker.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=bcommute&action=display&thread=9227&page=1if you find such non-bike friendly establishments, post up
