Guys what mud guard do you recommend? and how much? brad you're passing by my place.... I'm from merville....

Is there an ideal/good commuter bike configuration? I'm using my trusty mall bike for bike commuting- but I also use it for my trail & urban ride. How bout baskets, racks & bags, i stuff my things in my backpack - and it's quite heavy.
I have this "ngawit" feeling at my back when I go home in the afternoon.

I find this strategy effective.. but you have to have a locker or somewhere to place your clothes. we got no locker so... office tables is a good locker.... pag samasamahin mo na ang helmet, gloves, warmer...shin guards... clothes.... bags... sa ibabaw ng mesa ng iba ok na.... no one will touch it cause they know its mine!!! (except ipis!) ;D BWAHAHAHAHAHA!! that's exactly how i describe my table.. but then, mine is sa ilalim ng mesa so that when i orient new employees sa office ko they wont get much of a shock treatment (only pictures of trails, certificates and other conquests as tell-tale signs of me being a rider).

haha bitter nga ;D but what about the snake bite? your tire was bitten by a snake snake bite is a term used for a tiny hole that deflates inner tire probably caused by a hard contact with rock, cement, pavement or any solid matter when you're doing a bunny-hop or any jump with a hardly pressured tire. like a 40PSI. i hope my english is good ;D Huh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I thought you get snake bite punctures when you have a soft tire. Is'nt it also known as the "pinch flat?" The "snake bite" occurs when your tire hits an obstacle and your inner tube gets pinched ("ipit") against the rim, resulting in a small tear or puncture in the tube. It can also happen when installing tubes and tires by inadvertently pinching the tube with your tire lever when trying to get tires on the rim. Happened to me twice na, with new tubes pa. bwiset!

Is this rack removable? I'd like to add one to my bike, but be able to remove it when I go to trail rides- While I don't have a better bike yet.

Huh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I thought you get snake bite punctures when you have a soft tire. i still like the image of a real snake taking a bite at your tire. mas thrilling ;D COOL - you can unscrew the rack. get the one that has "legs" supporting the carrier and that stand on your frame (rear part) para mas sturdy. i've got a carrier with a screw that you tighten by hand lang on your seatpost (doubles as a rear mud guard) pero it can't carry a heavy load, otherwise it kisses the rear tire. consider also getting a fanny pack or belt bag, a saddle bag, or that triangular bag that fits in your frame.

Everyday! ;D ;D ;D I live in San Juan and the shop is along Libis. So it's down Wilson, left at ortigas all the way to libis then turn left and I end up at club 650! (Next to shopwise!) Luckily the mornings have been quite cool ;D but usually I just bring a change of shirt sa shop. Masaya papunta pero pabalik, ahon! Lalo na naka single chainring ako... kwarenta pa ngipin but the fun part is I get to play around the Ortigas business area before I go home:D Hey. I'm in san juan, wilson area also. I pass same route when going to allterra, but i work in Makati.

I really wanted to do this soon, I used to ride my "mama charie" back when I was assigned abroad. My pad was not exactly that far from my ofc, but it really starts my day right (watching those wild ducks by the river...) I ride with my usual ofc attire (shirt & tie and dress shoes ). But here, I might be needing a shower after since its a good 10km ride from my house up to here in Madrigal Business Park..... if anyone knows the Alabang-Zapote road...that would be the route

I use to put my tent, cookset and stove there..... you can also buy a side bag for the rack magmumukha ka na nga lang kartero.....

When I don't have client calls on Tuesdays (coding kc). 1-way Las Pinas-Makati via QuirinoAve-Multinational-Merville-Fort-Ayala-Kalayaan. I bathe at my in-laws' place. Sometimes, I'd leave my office clothes the night before. Other times, i'd bring them with me. Then take a jeepney ride to Ayala. Pauwi, everything's in reverse

g.b.b, from where are you in boni? i'm from citihomes (san francisco street, the former open canal). i'm just thinking why are you using edsa, when you can use makati mandaluyong bridge, then you can opt for jp rizal or buendia to get to amari. i use that route when going to amari or to office (pasay road). just my 2 cents

hmm, actually if it's early, there's no problem going to edsa, I rarely take my bike there, I only cross it. teka....are you guy with a backpack and camouflage shorts? and if i'm not mistaken chrome frame? makati, not much choice on the route, although you can take....great i don't know the name of the street. if you're going towards amari, the street is parallel buendia on the right side, it's one way and no traffic lights, it joins buendia before you reach taft ave. but i think the street starts at the extension of ayala ave. you can also take jupiter, fewer cars than buendia. if i'm on your location, i'll take the longer route with a lot of climbs, he he he. from edsa, turn right to guadalupe, keep on the road until you cross edsa under the bridge, climb the market, where the jeeps go, continue climbing towards kalayaan. turn right at kalayaan, climb the flyover, downhill right smack in buendia
