What used to be a breathtaking view of the Majestic Mt. Apo at the backdrop , now is obstructed by clutter of Gigantic Billboards and Signages. These are just the Signs of timesMt. Apo McApo "Summer Colors of Love" note: first few experimental shots with Canon S5 IS taken 3-03-08 1735hrs

Knobbyist: your right !! they say you appreciate more the scenery when your pedaling your way up there than riding a 4 wheeled fuel fed transpo.

gnob: Im using actually a Canon S5 IS Powershot . Technically it is not a DSLR but has practically more than enough function a DSLR has- Manual mode, Hot shoe for Professional flash, TTL metering . the only drawback is the lens is not interchangeable but the zoom range from 35mm to about 400mm is very helpful in the trail. Nice thing about this camera is the weight and the size. Not a Pro set up but very handy to bring along.
I use a LowePro belt bag. My camera is actually small for this bag since this was designed for a DSLR with a standard lens only.
Way back on my film days , I would bring a backpack with 2 lenses and a flash but the weight was not a joke on long rides.
