this is a SLR medium format camera: i read your post again... i missed the portion where you said "dual (?) lens reflex"... it's actually called Twin Lens Reflex... close enough something like this? TLR have different sizes of film. as you've mentioned, it uses 120mm film, so it's still medium format. i'd really get that now and save for digicam later. it's already a collectors item! if you don't like to get it, i will! hehhe

no problem... onga pala, medium format cameras are usually used in modelling photoshoots, i seldom see fashion photographers on set using 35m slr (not in Philippine setting). but mostly, they now use digital camera backs which has 20++ megapixels.
and if you know Ansel Adams, he uses a Hasselblad medium format camera.
you might want to consider serious photography when you get that camera. hehehe

One serious hardware you got there.

DON - who's the guy with the gun? JANIX - did you take that, where was it taken? whoopi, the guy in the picture is my good friend Frankie Barandian. He wanted a portrait of himself decked in world war 2 American uniform. Unfortunately his clothing was bought lang in recto so I had to make sure that the shot didn;t detail his uniform. meter reading lang sa face nya so that the camera won't adjust exposure settings on the uniform.

hmmm.. interesting seminar thanks for posting whoopi! ROB, i recommend jay alonzo's classes. took my basic photog under him and he's really a good teacher. one of the few who can both shoot and teach well in equal measures. he teaches photography as a skill for TESDA, kaya well-prepared and organized ang modules nya and he will really teach you everything. parang the underlying assumption is you're going for pro. syempre if you're like me who's only interested in making sense of apertures and stuff para di sayang ang camera features that i paid hard-earned pesos for, a lot of the information will just go over your head heheh. i think i've forgotten half of them. ;D and i shoot in auto most of the time anyway because i'm really lazy.

and buying a digital slr is not an option for now ;D whoops! i was going to suggest buy a dslr sana. hehehe hahah. My professor once told me that a camera is only as goods as the photograher. Just like a bike? no matter how good your components are if you do not have the skill it will all be wasted. no offense peeps! Gronnz, do not worry about the cam, for the mean time shoot to your own souls content. hehe

WOW!!! Great pictures you all!
But how can I shoot good trail ride pictures? Any quick tips?
Err, by the way, I only have, um, cellphone camera...hehe....But I'll definitely borrow my parent's digicam! btw, we also have CANON A-series digicams and they are ALL broken! Canon fixed them for free. Pero super hassle because we have to go all the way to Makati (were from Novaliches) And everyone we know who has the same line of digicams trooped to makati because of broken LCDs. Bad product, tsk tsk...
