More so Mario Sison is our riding buddy who rides same trails we frequent. Sir Mario might as well be you...be me... be any PinoyMTBiker who share this passion we have for mountinbiking. It so happens when Mario Sison left us to join God in heaven, he was doing what he enjoyed doing most for the last time = mtbikiing La Mesa.
I don't know you personally Mario Sison. I've seen you couple of times on trails. I am deeply saddened and affected that you left us.
May you rest in peace.
My condolences to your family.

Our deepest condolences to Mario's family. He was a friend of my brother-in-law, Tonino Habana and my sister as well. His daughter is a good friend of my nephew.
I was with the group that arrived in la mesa in the afternoon when Mario suffered his attack. REaching the parking lot, we were surprised to find Doc Angel and some foresters administering CPR on someone on the ground. My friend Nonong called his friend in Lifeline arrows to send an ambulance, since all the nearby hospitals were negative for ambulances. The lifeline ambulance got to la mesa from makati in around 35 mins. But sadly, it was too late. It was a sad day indeed. He was 46 years old. May you rest in peace Mario.

My condolences, I don't know Mario, but I know him by the photos posted here. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I love the photo of Mario handing out a bag of goodies to a less fortunate family. Maybe his good soul had too much to give, more than his already big heart could handle. Ride on Super Mario!

I just came home from the cremation of Sir Mario's remains. 12 of the Firefly Brigade peepz including sir Audie, sir Freddie, sir Rosar, ma'am Karen, Farah, Mia, Krx and me as well, joined the marshal of his hearse to the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina. Me, krx and sir audie acted as hagads since they have no lespu escorts except for a Ford Escape that has siren on it. The ceremonies was emotional and his kids Francis and Bianca could not let go of their dad. his demise is really untimely . i found out that his casket is made out of hard carboard which is designed for cremation and aluminum handles are removable, which mean he is in the casket while the cremation is processed as explained to me by a staff from Arlington. At the crematorium his cousin Gerard Sison and a known singer for liturgical masses led the prayers, and express forgiveness to Sir Mario. The casket was opened without glass which exposes his remains. His relatives, friends, and the firefly brigade, where the first to approach his remains and gave flowers, they were also allowed to touch his hands as well (me I didn't). The last to approach is his mother who is emotional, and her 2 kids, Francis actually hugged Sir Mario's head and Bianca almost kneeled down and they are really crying. After the emotional ceremonies they brought the casket in the chamber. While his body is being cremated his sister Ria invited us to have lunch at Causeway resto along Libis. I had doubts in joining them since no one from the Firefly Brigade will join because most of them need to go somewhere and some have other engagements. Sir Rosar (if I am right) asked us if we can volunteer to represent at the lunch out. Me and Sir Freddie volunteered to come. At the resto we had good chit-chat with Sir Mario's relatives and I have found out the me and Sir Mario live in the same village! (small world!) and most of his relatives are from Loyola Heights...geeez! funny thing here is sir Freddie represents for the Fireflies and me did represented for PinoyMTBiker. also....The Sison Family would like to express their gratitude to PinoyMTBiker and to all the cycling clubs who where present at the first day at the wake, and they also want to thank all of us for the prayers and in joining them in their time of grief. Ride on the heavens Sir Mario! Pedal with the Angels!
