nobody else has direction. if i can ask the opposition what their plans are if they oust GMA, i don't think they can give me a clear direction. why can't we all get along it would be better if the opposition would just create more programs, jobs, infrastructure that we can profit and not white elephants, then show it to the people. if the masses see figures, i'm sure all those who want to govern can succeed. just my 2 centavos

Ang daming choices! GMA only Resign! GMA AND Noli Resign! Susan Brother EDDIE! Abat Junta! De Villa Revolutionary Government! Caretaker Government! Charter ChangE! Impeachment!
How I wish they would consider hara kiri as an option.
Let's oust GMA for cheating us! Then oust the one succeeding her for picking his nose in public! Then oust the next one for being too good. And so on...and so forth. Forget about the poor. Forget about the economy. Forget about stability and all that bullshit they're feeding us. When I was there in EDSA 2, I had serious hopes we'd be better off if we kick the president out. Now, I just dont care anymore.
Honestly, I don't know what we should do. With the kind of leaders we have (all of them, admin, opposition, otherwise), I'd say our best chance is to prepare to go back to the stone age.

GMA resign!,we can't allow a cheater lead our nation,it gives a wrong impression to all (internationally and to your kids).
All of them cheaters?Probably pero we have to produce proofs 1st that the "sucessor" also cheated.
I think we will not have peace as long as GMa does'nt resign.how can you make reforms when we all all know she cheated. As you can see the pro cabinets are accusing the turncoats of anomalies and in return the likes of Drilon, soliman etc. are also threatening to expose more kickback project of this admin.di ba?
so for me,resign now and hope nad pray that the next leader will be better, and learned form this big mistake

amay bisaya for president! dehins sinungaling, dehins mandaraya, dehins magnanakaw!

my stand is.... NOTHING i'm no fan of the administration, neither a fan of FPJ or erap, or other B.S. NGO's and other politcal figures coz all of 'em suck big time! the Philippines, with the ever "makabayang filipinos" proved time and again to the whole world that our political system is ONE BIG MENTAL INSTITUTION! i wonder how those "open minded youths" of EDSA 2 feel right now after their exalted midget president gloria said "sorry" like stealing candy from a kid! tsk tsk, same O same O so guys, instead of talking about politics which will just take you going around in circles, LET'S JUST RIDE TOGETHER AND HAVE FUN. lets all see each other in "FAST DIN KAMI" this sunday in maarat! or anywhere we want and any day we want to ride as long as we're free and fun riding our bikes! ;D now that'll make more sense than joining some rally of sorts or engaging in political debates you yourselves don't know where it will lead to... ride na lang ng ride

Guys there are no elections, so stop campaigning hehe. If Arroyo commited anything illegal she should pay not resign. That is too easy to be a way out. Hope she is tried in an impeachment court.
I doubt there was massive cheating otherwise Namfrel would have come forward to complain like what happened during the time of Marcos. Filipinos easily forget.
But honestly speaking I'd rather have a lying president than have a puppet actor president whose strings are pulled by Erap, Sotto & co. Damned if you do damned if you dont.
Ride nalang tayo hehe atleast we agree with each other

Wouldn't it be more complicated if GMA were to resign? I ain't no fan of GMA either but point is, I think the country would be in total anarchy if we were to have a SNAP elections. One more thing, how would we be sure that there won't be any "miracles" if we do have an election again...
Just my two cents!

My take. We the Filipino people should not tolerate corruption from the lowest level up to the highest government official if we want our country to be great again. But can we do that?

Post by Bikester on Jul 14, 2005 12:25:24 GMT 8
GUYS, we can't ride na soon if we tolerate this corruption, soon ang price ng acera will be like the price of XTR.
Soon we will change our motto from ride na lang ng ride to walk nalang ng walk.
For me I'd rather have a good hearted president than a too smart president.

i think due process should take place, dehins rallies. let her be proven to have cheated, and then impeach her? and then let the rightfully elected successor take over, again not someone pushed to the frontline by the rallyists. we have to learn to live with some order. follow rules.
the other night my mother said something interesting. she wondered out loud why noli is very quiet, when he stands so much to gain. then she answered her own question, "maybe he's scared shitless that events would swing in his favor..." so you see, it's not just us afraid of noli becoming president, maybe he is too. ;D

I agree with you Tolits it's really hard to find a good president,But let me re phrase what I said I'd rather have a dumb but good hearted president than a smart but evil President. Like in this case I think between erap and Gma .I'd choose erap over Gma.
I'm sure many of you will disagree.but I believe Erap symphatize with the masa more than GMA. I'll choose the lesser evil
Note I did'nt vote for Erap neither I voted Gma.

That's really the proper way .pero Can we afford it,siguro by the time the impeachment is over tapos na rin and term nya.and baka walang reforms na magawa.because many will contra her project. I feel our economy is getting worse.Every day more people are getting hungrier we can't wait .So I f she really cares for the Filipino, spare them and resign.I hopefully the next leader will be better.

bikester, havent you heard of the hottest cd now a days...its erap's...and didnt i write it here before that they were all guilty?
choosing between two evils...yes thats more like it hehe! ...dont ever think that one of them is an angle...
on erap...i believe he's the devil himself hehe!
on lying...you can never be a successful politician without being a master of this art.
just my 2 cents.

got this in the e-mail today. just for laughs:
THE SHADOW CABINET
ECONOMIC TEAM - Susan's thrust will be to achieve an ECONOMIC MIRACLE that the country missed in the 80's and 90's. Nobody is better equipped in making this MIRACLE happen than Nora Aunor (Himala). As NEDA Secretary, Sec. Aunor will not draw water from brooks of Kupang (Place of Himala), but would make miracles happen by encouraging people to believe in themselves. According to the future NEDA chief. "Tayo ang gumagawa ng Himala" She will be assisted by Underscretary Madame Auring to guide the government in taking the miraculous path.
Sec. Aunor will be supported by Sec. Pepe Pimentel (Finance) and Sec. Roderick Paulate (Budget and Management). As Finance chief, Sec. Pimentel is well aware of where the "Kwarta" is. And no matter how small revenue collection will be, the public purse will be efficiently handled and kept by Budget Secretary Paulate in his "Bayong" with Undersecretary Amy Perez.
Finally, the Team is completed by Trade and Industry by the tandem of Sec. Mura and Undersecretary Mahal to make sure that the basic commodities are priced right, neither expensive (Mahal) nor cheap (Mura).
SERVICES TEAM - True to his populist color, Susan will give more to those who have less in life. Being allied with the GMA administration, MMDA Chair Bayani Fernando will be replaced by another Bayani, New MMDA Chair Bayani Agbayani. As such he will scrap the Odd-Even scheme and implement a simpler "Ocho-Ocho" traffic program, i.e., no cars in Edsa from 8am to 8pm.
Agriculture Department will be headed by Sec. Vilma Santos to ensure that food supply will be bountiful in all seasons in all regions.
Housing, being the cornerstone of the Susan Roces Administration, will be given to an equally regal and competent person, HLURB Secretary Dolphy. As such, he will ensure that the masses get their deserved homes either along the riles (railroads) or airports. The middle class on the other hand will be helped by Undersecretary Nova Villa.
The National Youth Commission will be headed by German Moreno so that he can help develop the talents of the millions of Filipino Youth. He will be assisted by Commissioners-At-Large Jojo Veloso and Alfie Lorenzo.
Social Welfare portfolio will be given to no less than Sec. Willie Revillame. He will leave his show to prepare for government service. To fund the welfare programs, the young Lucky Manzano will be appointed to the PCSO and PAGCOR.
Finally, the Department of Health will be headed by Dr. Vicky Belo. The projects in line are as follows: Oplan Alis Skin Disease, Tangal Taba, and Libreng Lipo sa Masa.
RESOURCES TEAM - Susan Roces' policy is the full development of our resources for the benefit of the people.
Department of Energy will be headed by Sec. Gary Valenciano. No more PPA, just pure energy.
The Environment portfolio will be given to Sec. Chin-Chin Gutierrez and supported by Bureau of Forestry Director Rico J. Puno, Mines and Geosciences Directress Gretchen Barretto, and Undersecretary Jimmy Bondoc.
DEFENSE AND LAW AND ORDER TEAM - Considering the lack of respect the citizens have for the law of the law, Susan will implement the policy of law without fear or favor.
The Defense Department will be given to Sec. Annabel Rama who is feared by the devil himself. If she can handle Ernie Maceda, why not the generals of the AFP. If she can defend Ruffa's integrity despite all her shenanigans, what more the integrity of the national territory.
The Department of Interior will be headed by another fighter, Sec. Mystica who is well aware of the workings of the lespu after figuring in weekly brawls ever since she entered showbiz. She will be assited by PNP Chief Paquito Diaz, an expert on mobs and thugs.
FOREIGN AFFAIRS TEAM - Susan will continue the current government's constructive engagement. Among the members of the nation's new foreign service are the following Ambassadors:
Africa Union - Susan Africa Austria - Amy Austria Brunei Darusalam - Cristina Gonzalez Colombia - Ace Vergel Germany - Baron Geisler Israel - Dick Israel Jordan - Jordan Herrera Spain - Gerald Madrid Romania - David Bunevacz Russian Federation - Nanette Medved Turkey - Ruffa Gutierrez-Bektas United Kingdom - Princess Punzalan United States - Angelica Jones
The Department of Foreign Affairs will be headed by Sec. Melanie Marquez (Miss International) who is very experienced in "international" relationships.
OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT - Lastly, to manage all the department secretaries, a function of the Executive Secretary, no less than Exec. Sec. Lily Monteverde will "manage" all of them to make sure that they work in line with government policies. If Mother Lily can manage the whole Regal Family (plus Regal Babies), what more the nation's Official Family. She will be assisted by Presidential Management Staff Sec. Lolit Solis, another "talent" manager. To complete the roster of palace officials, the residential Spokesperson's job will be given not to Boy Abunda nor Cristy Fermin as other have speculated, but to the reliable Sec. Rey Pumaloy (Aminin!) to ensure that the government will not hide anything from the public.
Kay SUSAN tayo !!!!

This is a dilemma but for the survival and betterment of the nation, I'll stay with PGMA.If we choose to fire PGMA the next option is so "magulo".The opposition is united in removing PGMA in power but divided on plan if she(PGMA) is removed - "Mas Magulo".Like Alpacino said in Godfather III "I'll burn myself in hell just to save my family".Sometimes we have no choice but to sacrifice our ethics and morality to save our family.
