eh yun grasshopper? CLASSIC!!! RC10 is also a classic. we drooled at those rc10's in school that time. many of us couldnt afford it. and even if we could, we felt we couldn't handle the power or that freak! thought i'd be into RC's when i grow up. now im into bikes. prior to this, cars. still waiting for that RC fever to kick in... hmm... maybe i havent grown up yet!

raven and co has this for a hobby. i saw them once sa UP jumptrack racing small RC cars after doing some dirt jumping. cute nga kasi ang liit. sin laki lang ng tamiya (even smaller) and then remote controlled. coolness, hehe.
i saw one in sm centerpoint worth 2K, battery powered RC. the sales dude did a demo how durable the car was buy stepping on it (fullweight) and even dropping it several times over head. maybe i'll buy one when my son gets older. this is really cool stuff.

I was once an RC addict. Started with toy-grade Nikko cars that sells for Php300.00 back in the 1990s until I was able to get a very cheap,race-grade Nikko rc for Php500.00 unassembled (its a single belt driven 4WD rc) and was able to race it at Quezon City Circle. Have used mostly Team Losi rc cars (that's why my handle is losiphile or losi_phile in other threads) since then and graduated from playing rc using the Team Losi XXX Off-road 2WD buggy car. Returned for a while using Traxxas T-Maxx 4WD gas-powered monster truck then sold it and bought me an Home Theater Set-up (budget price lang) then assembled myself a mountain bike. What's left with me now is the Kyosho Big Brute monster truck (circa 1980s) and a Kyosho Citroen Rally car. In summary, I started with Nikko; Team Losi's buggy/truck; Team Associated RC10s buggy/truck; Tamiya Mini Cooper/Porsche 911 GT1; Kyosho Big Brute/Citroen Rally Car; Kyosho Super10; Traxxas T-Maxx.

WOW! RC addict ka nga------>losiphile Ü This addiction is bad that's why I gave it up. Just imagine me leaving the house every saturday at around 8am and returning home at around 7 - 8pm if it doesn't rain. Bad me. Sold almost all of them and bought me a home theater set-up and stayed at home - my wife is happy. Built myself a mountain bike, and bought my son a dept. store MTB, upgraded my MTB and assembled another one for my wife. My wife's even happier we can bike as a family kahit sa subdivision lang namin. Thanks sa PinoyMTBiker and its throng of supporters. ;D ;D

I used to race at QC Circle also, was a member of QCRCC. I concentrated on electric RC cars: HPI Rally, Traxxas E-maxx, Losi XX Kinwald Special 2WD buggy, Tamiya TA03 Pick-up/Rally Car, Tamiya TB-01 Mitsubishi Evo Rally and a Tamiya Wild Willy. I got tired of the expense and was getting too fat just exercising my fingers and my wallet, and switched to MTBiking 4 years ago. Everythings been sold except for the Tamiyas which is still a toy for my kid.

i was once likewise an RC addict... i started with tamiya sonicfighter... with attack stick transmitter... that was in 1990 and then kyosho ultima... then upgraded to junior losi buggy... then to losi double x(xx buggy), tired of racing losi's... i shifted to the team car... then the T3... the last RC that i had was the factory team B4... this was subsequently sold to a singaporean just recently... raced from qc circle, to paranaque race track (closed already), to gapan in nueva ecija... tried also the tracks ni jack in batangas... i didnt try the libis track... no more time to race... just let me know if you have problems in setting up a race car... re: off road cars... i can also set up road cars... basta electric lang... messy kasi ang gas cars...

Raced also with Emer, Desthy, Ric, etc. Was able to run at the Paranaque race track when it was still open with my friends. I used to raced at QCRCC during the time when the race were held during Saturdays. It was before Emer and company started racing on Sundays. I don't have time during Sundays so gave it up. By the way, I'm Abel nga pala.

brad bbb, you can run your car if on road either lil's in parksquare or in pasig kapitolyo race track... i think the libis track is also converted to on road (jp race track). the only offroad track that is available or where you can play and practice is the qcrcc race track... 1:10 scale... but they prohibit running 1:8 gas cars... i dunno the rules now... mga sers, where can we run r cars?

Hey. QCRCC arenow running T-Maxxes, AE MGTs, Revos, TL LSTs, and HPI Monster trucks but with small block engine only (.18 and below only). 1/8th scale buggy with big block engine are still prohibited. They have lots of classes na like 2WD buggy, 4WD buggy, Stadium Truck, Mini Stadium Truck, Rally Cars and Monster Truck. Every summer they even have SunCon-only RC race. Membership is Php800.00 a year, free use of track anytime of the day any day of the week, Mountainbike not allowed sa loob ng race track masisira kasi, and you're included in raffles during big events/race day. Donaldduck: There are new faces racing in Circle now but still not that many. I was able to meet some of them when I played my T-Maxx there before I sold it to Archie. You still remeber Archie, I guess.

Hello Guys! It's been more than 4 years since I last raced in QCRCC. I think I will recognize you guys when I see you ... bad with names I actually sold my race cars to the guys in QCRCC. My HPI Rally went to Desthy while I had my Kinwald 2WD Buggy sold to some guys thru Emer. It seems that there are so many RC guys that had shifted to MTBiking. Another guy is Ernie Hortaleza ... his into road now and competing in the executive circuit. Hope to see you guys in the trails soon.
