to address some creatine concerns: yep, creatine makes you bigger... because you retain more water! creatine is flooded into your cells through water so you make a bigger "pool" of creatine by retaining more water in the body. yep, i've observed this when my muscles seemed to have decreased in mass after a long hike in the mountains.. ako puro free weights lang... 12-10-8... mura lang dun sa gym na pinupuntahan ko 30/session hehehe... Champion gym sa may p.faura

curious lang. baka may ka gym mate ako dito. ;D ano fave routine nyo? free weights ba kayo? machine? cardios? classes? spinning? (but why go for spinning and cardios if you've got the real thing here during nyt ryds, xcs and dhs? hehe) since mid-2000 i'm a regular @ iron house gym (now, i only go ther once a week), now located in pasig city; e.rodriguez ave. cor. magasaysay st, near the church... its just a ride away from rosario, pasig or eastwood city... its not like the posh gyms with A/C or futuristic machines... its very old school arnold schwarz gym... also, gym members from iron house usually are hired to be instructors in other gyms like pinnacle, excel, fitness first, slimmers, etc... previously, it was located at near pasig market & kawilihan @ pasig ave... i dont know anymore the membership fee, but i pay P50 for a session... P5 for an unlimited water... good parking... you can look for brad.loiue (the owner) & jun corpuz... tell them i refered you... i do free weights & machines, no i dont do spinnings or cardios, i reserve that for actual rides & runs (trail & paths)... i do mostly upper body now... i was a weight freak then, i got bulky from coupling with some competitive bodybuilders, now i'm losing the excess weight... the bulk is very enticing... but its not good for climbing... mountain or rock... on nutrition: just eat guys... dont be a food-nazi... burn it during workouts, rides or climbs... on supplements: i have taken supplements... but as per my brad the doctor.. its only necessary if you're lacking... i go there usually after work, 6pm, wednesday or thursday... my everyday workout is playing with my kid... ;D cheers!!!!

Hi Guys!!! I go to our office gym in Makati which is for free, unlimited water and competitive instructors too. I'm also currently spending time in Red Box at the Intercon Hotel, which has a swimming pool, boxing, muay thai and very good instructors, and to add to that a sauna.
I used to go to Maix' Gym, its just located at the street opposite of Robinson's Cainta (beside Sta. Lucia) take the overpass and go straight you'll never miss it. They have good equipment, not aircon and good tv and view also.
On supplements, I just drink On Whey after a work out or biking, which I buy from our office gym per serving hehe para tipid since drinking protein everyday can cause a lot of pimples.
I used to take 7-8 different vitamins (Omega 3-Oil, Garlic, Fruit & veggie Fiber, Vitamin C, Calcium-Magnesium, Beta Carotene, B & E Complex, and Multivitamins), 3-4 of any of those but my derma advised that I should stop or lessen the intake since it will cause my kidney to malfunction or get damaged and cause lots pimples too. So I just take 1-2 times a week of any of those. I also eat a lot of cereals including Nesvita in the evening and seldom eat rice since I am into weight loss (I'm hypertensive, doctor's advice to lose weight), I eat lotsa carbo during the day though.

I've been working out for sometime now. Mostly free weights at gym near our house. Am also a member of Red Corner boxing Gym (fromerly of Tordesillas and World Center Building), now in Hotel Intercon. I haven't been there for a while though due to time and budget constraints. Am trying to move up one weight class in lean mass then maybe train again early next year.

me me me...I go to the Gym just to use its shower facilities after taking the bike to work. I spin once in a while and stopped lifting weights...for now its pure shower and dressing room for me coz am always on the run for the 8AM shift. Gosho, of PinoyMTBiker, is a regular too at the gym. Too bad they are re-locating to a far far away place from our work.

Weights 3-4x a week at Fitness Works in Merville, boxing at least 2x a week at the Gerry Penalosa gym in Multinational Village. Just a small boxing gym Gerry uses to keep in shape and train his fighters. There is at least another one PMTBr working out there to add cardio for those sprints.

Well if it would help me get stronger, why not. But then I think I'll concentrate first on my jabs and hooks. I just started the sport (boxing) last month and I'm lovin' it!!!
