ty Roger i think the picture was taken last 2002. i was the one holding the gun, and a friend of mine was behind me. he's my timer/safety guy. that year when i was active on a local gun club. It's a quickdraw/combat shooting club (Blue Water in Smith Creek). Kaya madalas din akong mag-reload dati. pero binenta ko (used to have 4 station Dillon reloader). reloader saves you money...but then i realized that im spending more time to it, rather than be with my wife & kids, so i got rid of it. then i started buying 1000 rounds of 45 every month for $211 with tax (230 gr., ball type). kaya napapadalas din yung overtime ko hehehe. i seldom use my guns now, dahil sa mga bata. minsanan na lang akong dumadaan sa shooting range. it's fun...if you involve with "responsible"sport shooting, pero mahirap isabay if your trying to be a responsible parent lalo na pag maliit pa yung mga bata. i choosed what's best for the kids.
* i was holding my Kimber Gold Combat (ambidextrouse na) with 10 round mag.
*do you shoot BOW?

Gulli, Allegra, You guys have quite a collection as well..How about pics. Allegra, are you a gunsmith? Do you modify your guns? Hi pards, sorry for the long delay wala ako sariling pc ngayon nope, not a gunsmith, pero i shooting used to be a major hobby. In fact I took a whole year off just to indulge dun. Yup, my race guns are modified pero the division I compete in have limitations sa type. No compensators or dot sights. Pero i did have a comped gun pero i sold it. Di ko type

am a newbie when it comes to guns and i'd like to learn. nothing competitive. purely defensive only. can anyone pls recommend a gun club that can teach gun safety and basics and of course how to use the thing? i have my sights set on a 9mm and am just waiting for the cash to buy it. i live near the armscor range so a club there would be ideal. thanks in advance.

i used to frequent that shooting range at the basement of makati square when my office was still in dela rosa...dont know if still there. i was never a member of any gun glub but i think its a good idea to be a member of one specially in case of people without any background in gun handling.
kaya correct ka dyan redline...let me warn you about shooting ranges... wen i first went there they never ask me if i was a newbie, if i need any assistance or anything...they just assumed that i knew what i was doing...i was the one who asked them to help me since my shots tended to drift at two o'clock..so i asked them what i was doing wrong...i let the range master use my gun...on his third shot it misfired...i was told before that if that thing happened just maintain the gun pointed at the target for several seconds before ejecting the bad ammo...what the guy did was he immediately pulled the slide catching the ejected ammo with his hand.
i know yan narin pinapraktis ng karamihan...parang at your own risk na lang...but if you are a newbie make some research of your own and attend seminars at mas mabuti nga na pa member ka...there are rules to be followed at gun range but a lot of shooters dont follow them anymore kaya mali na gumaya ka na lang sa nakikita mo dun...there's a lot of sourse in the net regarding gun safety also.

I think P2,500 sa armscor. They have ranges in Marikina and Makati Cinema. P2,500 din sa Jethro - Makati Cinema, Festival Mall and SF Delmonte QC.

you have to remember , dont join any range , join a gun club preferably affiliated sa PPSA- www.ppsa.org.phAnyway, dont even try handling your gun if yo dont know what your doing Firing ranges only want to sell yu ammo or and rent out a bay If you see anyone w/ unsafe handling ng guns, leave the place immediately In your case , I prefer Armscor range kahit I hate that place haha ( long story )

non competion pistol lang. once a month firing i guess. something for the home too. anyway, the glocks are too expensive for me. same for the cz though i've heard they are good pistols. will decide eventually. thanks again for the inputs.

i've got me a taurus pt92 from 8 years ago, i hardly give it a look, 3 months would be like frequent to me, i'm just so amazed at how fresh it still looks, no rust whatever, and no special care even.

am actually inclined to get the taurus pt92. looks simpler to maintain. i heard also that it does not choose bullets. will look for a gun club first before doing any shooting.

i heard also that it does not choose bullets. it's probably because of that "teflon coated" throat of the pt92. no jams even when you feed it reloads

redline, i myself own a taurus...PT917 in stainless...its the same as your PT92 except that its a little bit shorter than your full size pistol...its 9mm 17 + 1 thus the designation 917...you wont find it in their website as i believe this model was marketed only to countries that allow hi-cap guns/mags.
since taurus has a history of callaboration with beretta (they used to manufacture pistols for beretta) your pistol share the basic design with beretta 92...i had a chance using DA only beretta 92..except for the safety/de-cocker located on the frame of taurus its basically the same.
i no longer shoot as often as i used to but i can't recall any problems i had with my taurus except for that one misfire that i mentioned before.
