I slept 2 hours and went to the BFC ride and was able to go home before lunch time thinking i can rest from there on but my wife dragged me to go with her to 168 mall to do some cash burning (and she did it without any signs of hesitation) im really sorry if i wasnt able to inform you the soonest, That place (168 mall) will drive you nuts! I'm just wondering if 168 is a blessing or a curse. A month ago, I bought an extension cord. 50 bucks I think. I used it to extend the power outlet away from my headboard and all i ever plugged in was a 3w nightlamp (the kind that cost P25 each). One night the cord exploded when I plugged the line. Inside the rubber cord, all I saw were 3 thin braided wires. Moral lesson#1. I'm building all my extension cords the old fashion way. Buy an eagle plug, an eagle socket, and some good copper wires from my favorite electrical shop. No more 168 electrical stuff for me. The few bucks I saved isn't worth the house it might burn down, along with my family on it. NO thanks. And the toys? they last some 10 minutes. The circuit connections are so fragile, I wonder if it's intentional... Moral lesson#2. Don't expect electronic toys to last. Moral lesson#3 (based on XCTOFI's experience). If you want to burn some cash, go to 168. Experience not required. No expert supervision needed. It's automatic! ;D

i guess the main issue with china is language translation..misunderstanding the instructions, instead of christmas lights their factories churned out firecrackers...instead of real automotive and household tools they produced toys. but hey when instructions were clearly understood, they could produce quite good products.

i guess it's not where you buy them from. 168 sells other products like fashion accessories that are exactly like the ones they sell in glorietta, at 1/3 the price. those bum electronic equipment are also sold in bangketas and bazaar stalls all over metro manila. doesn't matter where you buy them, if they're lemons they're lemons. ;D

I like the place when buying a cheap clothes (pambahay), some wallets and some decorations at home. But I don't trust majority of all electronic equipments there...... even tools, I'd rather buy at DIY and Ace Hardware shop, and jaymz is right, just look for the bird Errrr umm.... I mean logo ;D

If your gonna buy some power tools I know where to buy original Bosch, dewalt etc a lot cheaper just pm me ;D (its the real deal dont worry theres no sugar) and it not really far from 168. I recently bought a 1500W Bosch jackhammer priced by P16T cheaper than ACE hardware.
168 wont really give you a better deal unless your buying wholesale. So pool that money with your neighbors and buy the crappy extension cord by the dozen ;D

I just want to add. Having and ICC or PS mark does not mean that the product is certified to be of standards. I've seen lots and lots of products with "fake" ICC stickers. Let's help promote the local industry instead of buying those cheap but useless and dangerous products from China.

for products with ICC marks, the mark itself should be accompanied by a license number provided by dti/bps to the distributor... that's for traceability if its legit.
