For cat lovers like me, I have a persian cat and 5 unknown breed. Here in Baguio, we have domesticated a pusakal, which is mabait kasi, and recently gave birth to two kittens. The kittens took their first bath yesterday, and I'm happy that they're not very jumpy when taking a bath.
My question is, is their also requirements in cats? Do they also have some important papers like dogs? I want to bring the kittens to the vet, wala lang, i just want to. And also, these kittens have polgas, could i use the flea remover of dogs in cats?

im a cat lover myself, being with cats for over 13 years, having had 3 persians and picked up almost all the stray kittens i see... hehehe total cat lover here.
the basic "requirements" for cats are deworming, anti-rabies and other injections needed and usually administered while the cat is still young then re-administered (booster) yearly.
there are flea removers specially made for cats. i find flea collars more effective. you can also try this drops that kills fleas, its available in most vet clinics, a drop or two in the head (where they couldnt reach it or lick it) and the medicine spreads with the cats body heat. very effective but you have to keep your cat outdoors during medication because fleas will leave the cat and will infest your house. its very very itchy.
post pics of your cats! lets start a cat thread! or a pet thread!

so cats don't need any special papers? how much will those requirements cost? here it is whoopi... our cats are so domisticated they lost the value of territory. they let stray cats in and eat their food... not good! in this pic, they were curious about what the other cat's noise outside is all about... (those cats are fighting) Checini Nicoleti (deceased - unknown cause, but they say its a cause of depression, my parents went here in baguio, so they let our neighbor take care of him, since then, he always go out and returns home wounded and injured and losing a tooth) The brothers are romping...heheh Zawaf (deceased - unknown disease) The mother of the three (Chicky) Our oldest cat (been with us for 13 years already).. Georgina Our cat here in Baguio... Muning (that's what my grandmother calls all cats) i dont have yet photos of the kittens. these photos are the lates photos (since 2004)

tried making it unaccesible but cats are very intelligent animals, they find ways!! as for the "labuyo", i dont think its a good idea , it might boost their appetite ;D, maybe i'll just resort to my old ways, the "cat reaper"returns. hehehe

janix,
I think you don't need "special" papers like that of dogs if you don't plan to enter your cats in a contest or breed them professionally. The "papers" of dogs indicate the parents, the description, and other info (owner, code, marks etc.) of the dog. I think there are papers for cats. Maybe you are referring to the vaccination record. It's actually a booklet where you place vaccination records of your pet ( be it a dog or a cat).

good-lookin' cats you got there, JANIX! nicoleti best of all, sayang he's gone. but it's true, they make tampo sometimes. we had a tom who used to love sleeping on top of the kitchen cupboard. when we remodeled the kitchen, we had to stow some stuff on top of the cupboard so he couldn't sleep there anymore. naglayas!
do your cats sleep on your stomach when you're lying down? i love it when they do that.
i like cats kasi they keep themselves clean, they're quiet, and basically they act like they don't need you ;D
TOLITS, we never had much problem with cat shite. we never train them, they just somehow knew they're supposed to dump it where we couldn't smell it ;D

it's raining and cold today and i want to hug that tom ali! he's gorgeous, WOOFERS. not shy at all in front of the camera ha ;D TOLITS, yeah, i don't know why a cat's purring is so reassuring. gives me a warm fuzzy feeling too JANIX - they seem to like warmth ano? di ba they like sleeping on windowsills (where the sun shines), at the back of the ref, under parked cars (specially if the engine is still warm). did you know there's a friendster for cats? www.catster.com. my friend grace's cat, oreo cheesecake, has a profile there www.catster.com/pet_page.php?i=73714&j=t&t=t. enjoy! i must add: a couple of my favorite entries: Of Mantras and Mayhem October 19th 2005 3:28 amgrace has a new mantra for me. every time she feeds me or watches me wash myself, she keeps saying : Fat and Fluffy, Oreo. that's what we're aiming for. Fat and Fluffy. she says it not unlike the madagascar penguins.
fluffy, i can understand. but fat! i must watch what she feeds me. Fine Dining January 17th 2006 3:16 amgrace says this diary is supposed to give people an idea about my fascinating character, despite a dull life indoors.
so i've decided to tell you about my fine dining habits.
1. first, i call a human. a strangled sort of meow always gets grace running. 2. she opens what i like to call My Purple Passion, a purple box full of deliciously smelly dry food. i wait impatiently while she prepares my meal. 3. then, she sthingyfeeds me. she has tried many times to simply plunk the chow down, but a contemptuous look and much tail swishing promptly put her in place. 4. while eating, i occasionally stop with an alarmed look, and suspiciously survey my surroundings. (i also do this when i'm drinking) grace calls this my watering-hole syndrome. apparently, my ancestors were often attacked by uncivilized animals while enjoying a leisurely drink or meal. how barbaric. nonetheless, i seem to have inherited the instinct. 5. i take my time, ignoring grace's fidgeting from my eat-stop-look-and-listen method 6. i walk away to find a spot where i can wash myself. manners, after all, differentiate us from the common canines.
