i don't really believe in ghosts or other beings but then people make me think they might really exist...here's something related to biking...
i got my worst accident in aniloilo race..i had a broken arm (now with metal plates)...the elders there in the area told my team mates that the mountain wasn't really used by the people unless there was a race there (which happens once a year)..anyway, they said that the mountain's silence was disturbed by the bikers/"visitors" and that the dweller of the mountains chooses a visitor who stands out and will be remembered by everone...in that case it was me cuz i was the only girl there...and it was surely remembered by everyone coz there were accidents there but were a bit expected as our sport is high-risk, but mine gave them the shivers...they said we all should have asked permission from the dwellers of the mountain or offered something...
funny thing was it was a 2-feet drop in a steep section and i had a broken arm...when in other race tracks i practice 7 feet drops, crash and all i have are body aches...

me... hmmmm got a weird/scary experience last year on licao-licao trail, me and my buddies tried night riding these trail., it was 8 pm and were goin downhill goin to erap city and realizes that we're somehow lost, and then as we approach a fork looking passage and I was ahead by atleast 5 meters from my buddies, saw a girl in the middle of the fork, and as i saw her I thought I could ask directions, but as I ask, the girl just pointed at the grassy path of the fork without saying a word, ???then my buddies approach and told them the girl pointed the way, but as we look back at the girl, she was gone and "nawala parang bula" ., then a very sweet smell, we tried the path the girl pointed but saw that it was a dead end., so we tried the othe way and found out it's the right way., we reached the trailhead at erap city at 9 pm, hungry and scared

I don't beleive in ghost and other stuff, I've studied a subject in psychology and am more of a scientific person. But what kept me thingking if there are unexplained things is that all phenomena is caused by something, people just can't identify it and is unable to explain it so mysteries are everwhere...

it's hard kasi to discount individual experience. if it happened to a person and he believes it's true, then it must be, at least for him. some people believe in hula and prayer and miracle and what-not, and they swear it's true for them, so maybe it is...for them. any ordinary event would seem extraordinary if we treat it as fateful. like, if i were walking along makati avenue today and i saw a car with a license plate AAA 123, i could think, "wow, of all the millions of license plates in metro manila what was the chance that i would see that particular one today? amazing!" is it really amazing? maybe it isn't, but if i think it is to me, then it is. but is it universally amazing, universally true? i don't think so.

Right to the point there, every people is different from each other unless they are identical twins, so experiences differ from one people to another, unless they've experienced the same event...so I guess there are non-believers and believers...

do you believe in psychics or lets say your own instincts and premonisions...or whatever you may call seconds or a minute before will suddenly flash in your eyes and you could see what will happen next....thus avoiding it or... There is a good term for that in Psychology, it is called clairvoyance or the one you see flashes of events in the uncoscious or conscious state of the mind, it is a mystery on psychology when people started to predict things or in the worst case scenario it could lead to Psychosis where halucination is practicaly observed on the patient. How about de-ja-vu where you see an event in your dream and happens on a particular day in the future. I've experienced this phenomena and I still wonder how it happend. The mind is a powerful thing use it wisely...

Speaking of that upside down fiera... does anyone know if the driver and passengers survived? That part of the road is a killer.... hmm...just dont know why i didnt bother to ask that question..but i overheard that it rolled several times before settling on its back, the roof completely collapsed...laborers from a nearby construction work also said that a week before another biker had an accident. pointing to a mango tree by the side of the road, one of the guys said the biker hit the tree at a tremendous speed and that the biker died before reaching the hospital while the other guy said that he heard the biker was alive but now a vegie...well, whatever the truth was i must agree with you and that we should always be careful when going down that road.

I don't believe that, it's just guni-guni or typical ghost stories,
If the soul of the dead returns to earth to scare people or to look for justice,
then 100% of the murder crimes will be solved
heheheheehe ;D

In a case of a whitelady hitching a ride with you on a nightride, then "paangkas" her on the front and talk to her, how she died, what she wants, etc...
If nothing happened, then scream like a wussy and leave your bike... :twak:

Those things talked about may or may not exist. God is not an alien, how can he be an alien kung he is everywhere (parang converse shoes, remember the commercial). Seriously, speaking in christian context, we christians believe that God is all powerfull. We recognize him as the creator of the universe, and therefore created the aliens too. Regarding pictures with ghostly apparitions on them, nagawa ko rin yan noon. A case of controlled double exposure. Maski yung suki mo na picture developer baka nagkakamali din....maski yung machine. Also baka material deffect. Does this happen to digital cameras, as in straight honest to goodness no malicious intention.

mambabarang.... saw this at "darna" what's so special about this mambabarang eh puro ipis lang naman... are they real.... AFAIK, in local folklore the 'mambabarang' is somewhat synonymous with the 'mangkukulam' (witch) Accordingly, there is a difference between a mangkukulam and a mambabarang. The mangkukulam needs to use a piece of the proposed victim’s personal property (hair, article of clothing). The more powerful mambabarang needs only the memory of the victim’s face to cast a spell. The mambabarang uses insects (as well as other foul critters) as 'familiars' and the executors of evil deeds. 'Barang' is actually the name of a local beetle used extensively in Siquijor, the so-called island of witchcraft and sorcery. What happens daw is that the sorcerer (mambabarang aka eddie garcia) commands the beetles to go to the victim’s house, wait until night and enter the person’s sleeping body. After the beetles lay their eggs inside the body. The beetle’s eggs hatch inside the victim’s stomach causing ulcers a swollen. abdomen, aches all over the body and other maladies. pero real mambabarangs doesn't have the kind of power demonstrated by eddie garsha in Darna
