i like almost everything! hehe... but i never tried exotic food yet. Arabic food is nice too, at first they taste weird because of the arabic spices, but you're going to like it after... hmmm those delicious shwarmas!!! Chinese, American, hmmm... every food is nice when you're very hungry!
I don't really cook, but my speciality is polvoron, garlic bread with mozarella cheese, and french fries with my own touch of flavour.

Ligo ba pinaka masarap na sardines? I also love sardines the imported ones are tasteless i recently appreciated eating canned sardines and mackerel. i got hooked when we rode on trails and the only thing a nearby sarisari store can offer for lunch is steamy rice and sauteed canned sardines. yung sardines at yung saba brand. i especially love them plain (w/out the tomato sauce) sardines. i heard my canned sardines daw na di makaliskis (scaleless)? which is this brand? have you guys ever tried mixing corned beef and sardines? they call it carninas, hehehe. ;D. i'll never forget this dish. by the way, bruce cooks very good putannesca. as in no meat but its so good it doesn't matter. and it doesn't matter if its cold or warm, hehe. or maybe i was just really hungry from the 24hr race? ;D bruce, share naman the recipe. by the way, the only thing i'd eat either cold or warm is pizza, hehehe ;D

Ligo red sardines is good if you cook with few drops of cooking oil, 3 gloves of garlic, red onion, cilantro, slice jalapeno and when its done add some tiny slice of green onion and few drops of vinegar . never kiss your wife or children after eating ;D.

Saw some instant pasta sauces while doing my groceries, bolognese, pesto, etc. will try to taste test. Anyways, I'm looking for the carbonara sauce in can. I cant seem to find it in SM anymore. Anyone knows where to find them, I usuallly find them near the spanish fetuccini, but I dont think SM carries them anymore.

since my dad's from zambales, mostly seafoods are my favorite... i also like exotic food... like lizards, snakes, deer... hmm... what else? raw sea urchin. in surigao they're commonly served in restos (they're called tajum or something). in japanese restos they're called uni and they cost all your 10 fingers. finger-lickin' good. i had turtle soup once, which had an unpleasant aftertaste. i had snake soup a few times also, which was nice and warm specially in cold weather, but there's also a pungent aftertaste. and someone fed me deep-fried rooster's balls once, saying it was squid balls. tasted a bit like liver. in bicol they serve kinonot, which is shark or ray meat cooked in coconut milk. it's tasty but i'm not supposed to support the slaughter of sharks and rays. all this talk is making me want to go vegetarian. ;D

looks like alot of people like italian pasta and sauces. nice ma'am whoopi... i like your taste ;D i'll share one favorite recipe of mine... many ingredients yet cooks within 40 mins tops. --------------------------------------------------------- Bouillabaise (bola-beys)For 5-7 persons Ingredients:1/2 kilo Tahong (Mussels) 1/2 kilo Halaan (clams [am i correct?]) 1/2 kilo Alimasag (crabs, those thin steamlined ones) 1/2 kilo Scallops (optional) 1/2 kilo Shrimps (Suahe type for best taste) 1 sachet Cream of Mushroom Soup (that makes 1-2 servings) 2 strands of Leeks or Spring Onions Onions/Shallots, chopped 5-8 cloves Garlic, minced Ginger, sliced Salt and Pepper Cooking oil (preferrably Olive oil) 1/2 cup water Corn starch Pre-procedure notes:a. Seafoods should be kept as fresh as possible for best taste. Pre-select live tahong by looking at open ones. Halaan should be made to "spit" first before cooking. Pre-select also the dead ones--those who shrink fast and doesnt spit. b. Scallops taste like shrimps, though their soup are too salty. This is precaution for those who wants to use it as ingredient. If ever to be made available, do not use salt. Use the scallops' soup as its alternative. Do not add until all Procedure:1. In separate containers, saute garlic, onion and ginger, and boil up water and half-cook the Tahong and Halaan. Cooks in as little as 5-7 mins. Steam the Alimasag for 5 mins. Do not dispose the soup, since they will be used later on. 2. Pre-heat the kawali (pan), add some oil and saute the minced garlic, sliced ginger, and when garlic's about to turn golden brown, add onions. 3. Add the 1/2 cup water to the sauted spices. Turn the heat up and add some corn starch to thicken the soup. 4. Prepare the Cream of Mushroom soup on a bowl and mix it in the pan. Add some of the tahong and halaan soup in the mixture. Not too much halaan soup, for this is salty. Stir up, turn the heat up until it boils. The soup's taste should not be salty, for seafoods will be added later on. 5. Once the soup boils, add the pre-cooked tahong and halaan, then toss in the shrimps. See if the shrimps turn pink, then add-in the crabs. Taste the soup if right to taste. Adjust the flavor by adding salt and pepper. You may use Shallots' soup as salt; only add in very little amounts. 6. For additional spice, add leeks or spring onions. Voila! im sure you'll love this recipe. ;D ;D ;D

i worked with a korean company for almost 15 years now and love korean foods, super spicy but less cholesterol.
if anybody is familiar with kimchi or that pickled cabbage, some of which are sold in korean foodstalls sa mga mall.
i have a recipe for that kimchi which even a non-cook can easily prepare:
Kimchi Chige
Ingredients:
1 pack of Kimchi (the P100 pack i think is about 150-200 gms).
1 Big Can Hot and Spicy Century Tuna in Oil
1-2 pc. Garlic (crushed) not whole ha yung piraso lang
1 medium sized onion cut and sliced
1 tali (P5 or P10 ea per tali) spring onion (sibuyas na mura) cut into 2" length.
How to Cook:
1. Heat saucepan, when saucepan is hot slightly lower the heat.
2. Put century tuna oil (by draining it from the can)
3. Saute Garlic and Onion in tuna oil.
4. Pour Tuna in the garlic and onion and saute.
5. Pour the whole content of the Kimchi Pack to sauted mixture.
6. Mix and bring to a boil, add some water and a pinch of salt.
7. Simmer.
8. Add spring onion, turn heat off and.......
Voila..... you have a bowl of steaming, spicy, delicious, nutricious Kimchi Chige.
A P100/pack can serve 2-3 persons. Good for pulutan or ulam.
Note: Cooks in 20 minutes or less.

sir soloflight, the kimchi chige will cost less than P200.00, but the drinks that will go with it............hmmmm Sir maxbuwaya : with the kimchi chige, you can change the tuna ingredient with pork liempo (about 250gms for every kimchi pack), but add some more water and allow to boil and simmer longer to cook the liempo. good luck!!!!
