"Dear Diary, Carlo sat beside me today. He's sooo cute. Sabi niya I'm pretty, kaya lang I'm fat. I ate too much kasi eh. Mula ngayon....goodbye chocolates....goodbye spaghetti....goodbye hotdogs.........ayyy??!... Goodbye Carlo!!! "
what's the commercial wherein there's this yummy babe in a bus who gave away mangoes as she said the famous line "matamis ya'an"?
as a kid, one on my favorite tv ad would be the goya fun factory! i'm sure every kid in the 80's would wish to go to the goya fun factory (very reminiscent of willy wonka's chocolate factory starring gene wilder)
the marlboro ads fetauring the cowboys and the theme from the magnificent seven is also cool!
how about the levi's 501 "i havent's zipped my fly in 5 years!" tv ad?
another local tv ad that is cool is dolphy's "ajax all-in-one" commercial
Sir I think the ad with the "matamis yaan" copy is one for Red Horse featuring Joana. Forgot her last name though.
the san miguel beer tv commercials of the yester years are my favorite!
on the top portion of the list would be:
- the smb ad wherein a katipunan officer comes home from battle, to his wife who have just given birth
- smb "sabado nights" ad featuring inah raymundo n paolo the biker dude
- smb "silhouette (by kenny g)" ad
- smb "sipol" ad featuring the 1989 smb pba grandslam team
- smb ad with fpj and the deer
- smb ad with fpj strolling by the beach waving at the fisher folks
other non-smb tvc's i "dig" the most would be:
- shell ad featuring leah orosa (yummy!)
- coca-cola "i am the future of the world" ad (featuring lilet - my first "that's" crush!)
- coca-cola 70's (i'd like to teach the world to sing" ad
- pldt "suportahan taka" ad
- jollibee ice cream sundae ad with carmina villaruel
- prudentialife "buhay ang pag-asa" ad
more to follow as i recall 'em.....
Sir how about the SMB where in the Boss was invited by one of his staff, and ask for "isang malamig na SMB!" & friends went through lots of obstacles just to get a case of SMB?
oh yeah, the "fiesta" smb commercial! why did i forgot that! very classical, same as the sh-boom ad!
another cool classic is the knorr real chinese soup commercial where in the chink cook sings the jose marie chan composed jingle "there are chinese soups, and there are chinese soups. but there is nothing like knorr real chinese soup. knorr is one of a kind, best tasting soup you can find. knorr is easy to cook, just add one egg! there are chinese soups, and there are chinese soups. but there is nothing like knorr real chinese soup. ... goodah! (actually this was where the slang term "goodah" came from which became a tv show starring bert "tawa" marcelo, then into the now-famous tapsihan!)
the pepsodent commercial was also unforgetable with the "lasang bebelgam" (tastes like bubblegum) dialogue hehehe!
another yummy comemercial during the 80's was the palmolive soap ad with sheila israel and alice dixson... "i can feel it!"
"From this day on, until the end of the world, we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few... we Band of Brothers..."
let's see what can i find inside my BAUL of memories...
the mc donald's singin moon?..blues thing
rhea rubbing alchohol..."di lang pang pamilya pang isports pa!"
marca pinya soy with the kid....
the royal tru orange commercial..."bagoong pala ha" rj ledesma
does anyone remember the "beedees"?...underwear ata yun?...nice girls..
white castle wisky...carmi martin riding a horse!
isip pa ako ng madami...

because thats what people do, they leap and hope to God they could fly, and otherwise we just drop like a rock, and wondering the whole way down .....why in the hell did i jump? but here i am...falling... there's only one person that makes me feel that i can fly... is you......
konablack: the problem with most roadies i encounter on the streets is that they will try to race with you as much as possible (target practice kumbaga), i just encountered one this morning, nung nalagpasan nya ako, sabi nya "holi", saka ko lang nagets na 'huli' pala

konablack: di rin natin masisisi yun iba kasi may mga MTB users na may attitude, walang harmony sa kalsada, karamihan nag uunahan

strand: OK. Di ko pa na-experience yung may biglang kumarera sa akin when I am on the road. weird siguro ng feeling? ...ay teka, mabagal pala ako. hahaha, auto-loser.

biketripbro: Peeps .. oks pa ba bumili 26er na old model ?
Feb 12, 2019 6:58:29 GMT 8
konablack: biketripbro for me it's a yes as long as it serves its purpose, ang titignan mo lang ay yung possibility ng upgrading kasi magiging mahirap mag hanap ng parts if ever mag aupgrade ka na (just my opinion)

anthrax76: biketripbro, as long as may available parts pa sa area mo (tires, tubes, rims) all is good. hassle lang naman kapag walang mabili.

biketripbro: Sir Anthrax, nawala na yung folding bike thread?
Feb 14, 2019 11:28:12 GMT 8

Feb 16, 2019 22:17:38 GMT 8
