One of those movies that you think could have been made much better had they been more brave in experimenting with the story. Like choosing to ride a difficult trail, the producers had the right intention, had committed to bombing down something new, only to slam on the brakes at the last minute and sheepishly run the course down.
The movie starts out with a simple concept . . . how would it be if you were able to communicate with someone from a different era, to even fall for that person, and then knowing that it would really never be because of the distance in time.
As mentioned, the producers could have been more bold in their experiment, could have included wittier and more memorable lines. But as the movie progresses it quickly digresses into a formula pinoy love flick, along with all the cheesy lines and unrealistic love affairs (and yes, the ever present momnents of love soundtrack playing at key points in the movie).
All these cheesy lines and stuff, however, fails to engage the audience, fails to draw you into empathizing with Marco and Divina's impossible love for each other. You do not feel for the characters, such that when Marco professes his love for Divina and asks her to meet him in the present, knowing full well she will be an old lady by then, you can't help but just react, 'what?! yeah right'
The only saving grace of the movie was the excellent cinematography and props. Other than that, it would have been better to just have been an MTV for the song Moments of Love. Sayang
