Na miss ko tuloy yung trelis dati at vintage(aka kuhblai"s rock) dati..........bket wla nang ganun na bar? you sit, dine, smoke, listen to good music, everybody knows each other, drink n relax........... Why is weed still considered an illegal substance in this country? Doesnt the government know we grow the 3rd best weed in the world............... why dont they make it legal, tax it ang export it..........they make a lot o money and everybodys happy right? Weed is one of the most abused substance just like alcohol, tobacco, gambling, so why the fk is it still illegal? They raise taxes on these things why not make weed a legal vice? by prescription of course and tax it so everybody would know not to abuse it .....ryt?

teka teka, redneb...yung bob marley lifestyle eh, implication ba nun, smokin' your way through life? :harhar: di ata ako pabor dun... kasi ibat-ibang tao may ibat-ibang reaksyon sa dope...and for the most part, di maganda hehehe...i knows man, been there, done that eka nga. buti na lang sa akin, food, sounds and (ehem) trip lang sa akin...pero yung iba, labo...puro depression, oppression, o perversion ang trip nila...bad trip at saka natulala sila man, ayaw na magtrabaho, ayaw gumalaw, ayaw magisip at puro kalokohan ang ginagawa...buti na lang nakaalis na ako dun ng matagal na. ok lang i-experience, pero as a lifestyle?...for me, it sucks brad... i can laugh over cheech & chong, pero to be a cheech or a chong...no way.

Thats true i was explaining that sa mga kaibigan ko na "Pare kasi may problema ako kaya smoke ako".......duh! thats wrong. Drugs will never be a solution to any problem....it is a problem in itself. Once u hit ur peak thats it! wala na itataas yung tama mo! pag kumarga ka pa it would most likely lead to paranoia or something nasty.............................. If u do.........smoke responsibly If u dont.......dont even start Just think...... Rastafari. ;D Saka di nga ako yun! 3 drum yun tig isa sila! kumpare pala nung cong. yung judge e gusto ko ibaon sa munti... e na rizal ako nakalabas ako after 2. Imagine the effects di ba? He destroyed me.........nadyaryo pamilya ko! Nasira ako......ex-con tingin sakin ng tao after....... I Destroyed him...... Sinama ko pamilya nya! Then i ran to the states finished college became a cop pag balik ko d2 nung 1997 di nako wanted.........hihihihihi. ;D Ive retired from the life of hate n crime. I have evolved into a very peaceful and quiet pothead(tama ba yun). ;D kahit di ka mahuli illegal yan.....until society abuses it. and if it becomes a legal substance......... Its gonna break any potheads' pocket its gonna get expensive na! Ayaw nyo nun may "over-the-counter" na rin! ;D As for yung mga chems............screw them! iyan ang nakakamatay! Tama yung anti-drug campaign ni GMA sa Shabs n E. Dapat mawala na yang chem drugs na yan sa mundo! anything that turns one on outside of adrenaline, love, sex and caffeine...is...to me now...just not acceptable. get into the zone, naturally! for most people in this site (including me) just hit the pedals, and do your stuff. for me, that's more than enough fun, and allows you to still make something out of your life. weed puts you into a different world...COMPLETELY. i mean how many sane or sober people enjoy talking to a spaced out cowboy, or artist, no matter how cool they think of themselves? i can't count any, sorry. maybe for a minute, a beer even...but after that, people just laugh at you (more than WITH you) and don't take you seriously. especially if every time they meet you, you're in one of your spaced out periods. not my idea of living my life man...at first it was well fun, and different...then much later, after wasting so much youth...i decided that weed really, really sucked....totally. give me a hot babe, maybe some wine or rum, good food, a great beach, my bike and some great trails or mountains to climb...and have a good job and great friends to go back to...ahhhh, that to me would be bliss

usapang marley kaya di ako pwedeng manahimik, mga rasta! dehins kasi maintindihan masyado ng marami what makes his life meaningful and worthy of admiration - and that would be him seeing a need for change, going against the flow and making the difference using what he does best - touching people's lives through his music. para sa akin yun ang good life! My favorite song in the world: Rise up this morning, Smiled with the rising sun Three little birds pitch by my doorstep Singin' sweet songs of melodies pure and true Sayin', "This is my message to you-u-u." Singin'... "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause ev'ry little thing gonna be al-right."

i don't promote the use of weed. and i'm by no means a "stoner".
but a few every out-of town trips with some friends and usually i'm not very shy in saying "pass the dutchie on the left hand side".
its fun when you're in control. and not the other way around.
personally i think weed gets a bad rap but then again if you can't control any substance that may be considered a "vice" then why isn't alcohol given such a bad rap as well?
there's more to a rastafarian life than weed. its a beautiful way of life, and not all rastas are potheads anyway.
...now i'm REALLY looking forward to that next out of town trip... ;D

For those of us who are not familiar with Rastafarianism...
Rastafarianism, a religious and cultural movement that originated in Jamaica around 1930. The movement was named after Tafari Makonnen, which was the original name of Haile Selassie I, a prince who in 1930 was crowned emperor of Ethiopia. Ras means “Lord” in the Amharic language. Selassie’s other titles included King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah. The central doctrine of Rastafarianism, also known as Rasta, is that Haile Selassie is the God of the black race. This belief continued to be held even after his death in 1975. The Ras Tafari movement is thought to be a strand of the “Back to Africa” movement created by Jamaican leader Marcus Garvey after he moved to the United States and settled in New York City in 1916. Garvey preached black pride and black emancipation, and advocated a return of black Americans to Africa, their ancestral homeland, and particularly to Liberia and Sierra Leone. According to a widely believed report, Garvey told his followers in Jamaica, at his departure for the United States, “Look to Africa where a Black King shall be crowned; he shall be your redeemer.” After the coronation of Haile Selassie, many Garveyites began to search the Bible for confirmation of the prophecy. The confirmation was found in Revelation 19:16, which reads: “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.” With these events the Rastafarian movement was born.
Rastafarianism is a millenarian movement emphasizing the belief that, through the power of a supernatural being, oppressed people will miraculously be led from oppression to a new heaven on Earth where all problems will be solved in peace. To believers, Haile Selassie I is the God with supreme powers; through him they look for an immediate return to Ethiopia—the promised land—and the biblical name for Africa.
Rastafarians have developed an elaborate ritual system using marijuana (ganja) as a sacrament, as Christians use bread and wine. They have adopted the law of the biblical Nazarites, which prohibits the cutting of their hair. They are therefore easily identified by the long, matted locks known as dreadlocks. Rastafarians sometimes wear knitted caps of red, gold, green, and black—the colors of the Ethiopian flag, which have symbolic significance for members of the movement. They also observe Hebrew dietary laws, abstaining from certain items in their diet, and eating only those foods considered pure and untainted. The earliest evangelists of the emerging movement in Jamaica were Joseph Hibbert, Archibald Dunkley, Ferdinand Ricketts, Vernal Davis, and Leonard Howell. Howell is credited with the early development of the movement from 1930 to 1960, leading it through its initial struggles. He bore the brunt of government opposition to the movement, especially to his preaching that blacks should not pay taxes to the government of Jamaica, which was then a British colony. Charged with sedition, he was sentenced to two years in prison during the 1930s.
The early Rastafarian movement drew its membership from among the disadvantaged young, the unemployed, and the unemployable, but the revolutionary doctrine of the movement soon began to penetrate the middle class. By the mid-1960s the movement had drawn large numbers of educated young people and professionals. By the early 1980s the movement consisted of two tiers: the Rastafarians of long standing, who came primarily from poverty, and the new, educated Rastafarians. From Jamaica the Rastafarian movement spread to the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, and to other Caribbean islands. The conversion of reggae singer Bob Marley to Rastafarianism in 1967 helped the Rastafarian message become widespread during the 1970s and early 1980s, as Marley and reggae achieved mainstream popularity. After Marley’s death in 1981 other reggae musicians, inspired by the Rastafarian message, also communicated it through their music.
Because of its revolutionary stance the Rastafarian movement was controversial from its emergence. It is unequivocally a black-consciousness movement. The creed itself is generally peaceful, and Rasta has become increasingly accepted by mainstream organizations as a legitimate religious movement. The ritual use of marijuana has contributed to some unfavorable perceptions of the movement, especially in countries where marijuana is illegal.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery None but ourselves can free our minds...
Bit of truth there, it seems to me, though not of the Ellsworth variety (which I also like).
Wonder if anybody else here used to hang out at Mayrics late '80s; Cocojam, the Jerks... good times, while they lasted. The lifestyle is fun, for a while, but it has a way of catching up.
