Hi, anyone here using LINUX os? what flavor are you using?
mine is Fedora 3. Basically im using this for our local webserver, and for experimenting VOIP.

I've been using Linux as sysadmin and developer since 1994. Our production systems are using CentOS.

Newbie also in Linux.
We have different distros of Linux in our office:
Redhat 9.0 - running postfix Ubuntu - for our webmail and around 20 deskstops OpenSuse
Smoothwall - linux based firewall/proxy server/IDS Trixbox - VoIP PBX (used for international calls)

linux. im using debian for almost 3 years. I tried mandrake before it only last a month then shift to debian. but i still use windows from time to time.

using RHEL 4.0 for our Webct online course and red hat 9 for our webserver and database.... long live linux... very cheap and secured... so far hehe

Lucky for you for those who are using LINUX , Our company is using SUN OS, w/ Ultra SS5. SunOS? You probably mean Solaris. It hasn't been called SunOS in a looong time. yes u are right, kasi IPX sun computer pa rin ang gamit namin ( medyo luma na talaga), i forgot the version sunOS but definitely solaris ang ginagamit nang SPARC/ ULTRA SPARC 5. At home i tried Red hat V8 . Di ko magamit ang solaris dahil wala naman akong SPARC computer.

It's pretty good. It's a source-compatible clone of Red Hat, without the Red Hat-specific stuff (logos & branding, non-opensource apps, etc.). It's also easy to administer and update, which is a huge plus since we have somewhere between 30-40 servers scattered around SEAsia.

been a loyal user of linux for both desktop and server for years.... (caldera, mandrake-mandriva, unbuntu, fedora, red hat)... tried that all he he he.... cause i hate windows unrecovrable system crash and hangs and blue screen...and of course viruses.... anyway...anybody here tried successful in running sun server in linux RHEL4.... pinipilit ako ni boss paganahin ko daw!!!!
