Building a new bike is already full of excitement. But if there is no nice trail to test the bike, the savour of having a new bike is not complete. Need to have a nice trail to complete the ingredients... So we decided to have a overnight ride in the one of the famous mountain here in Guangdong Province. The Nan Kun Shan or NanKun Mountain. Here is the trail shot of the trail (taken from Google earth)... This is only one part... there are still many trail to discover... We start to travel in the afternoon of Sat. (Feb 23, 08). Shots taken along the way going to NKS. Pictures when we are ascending... The road where the roadies ride their road bikes. We started our ride around 5:00 PM. Ride possing first with the bike under test... Comparison with the 07 model Yeti 575 We finished the ride around 9:30PM... Time to relax infront of the fire place after a hot bath and 12 deg. C outside. The Bikes also have a perfect place to rest for the ride in the next morning... What a perfect morning to have a brakefast along the lake... Pictures of the place we spend the night... Our day ride started around 11:00AM... not so lucky after a few 100 meters ride. Flat tire... luckyly, we have only one flat tire for the day ride The trail shots...Single track... Possing on the bridge of the Dam (Fr L to R: Bongjumper, OneByOne, Mechtiti) A biker's corner mirror... To see if there is a car on the other side of the corner... This mirror is very helpful. Possing on the water falls... 200 meters far from the trail... Just want to share our weekend activities.

Wow! Nice trail Bong, The Yeti looks very proportional and the rider professional ;D One thing I like about Yeti is the slopes looks so clean and fluid, Im still a traditionalist that's why when I look at other bikes with massive tubings or disproportionate triangles, I get turned off right away even if the suspension it offers is excellent. Not the case with Yeti, Trek and etc, etc.
The trail is perfect testing and training grounds.
Thanks for sharing!

Totally agree with you, Enzo... The Painting and surface finish, the Welding, the bending and forming of the tubes...The workmanship of the frame is nearly perfect... The quality is more than that of Intense which use a sticker for the brand name. The top tube is not welded like the nomad and Specialized. it's a one piece pre formed tubes... and the price is far more lower compare to Nomad... One thing I only notice, the bearing is not enduro seal which I'm not so sure if the sealing is good and long lasting... Pro daw O it's only means pro porma lang... ;D ;D ;D Agree with you Jessie, the trail is a MTbiker's paradise and very masarap... we go to this place just to complete the savour of having a new bike.... ;D Not only that of course, to relax ourself after a week of hardwork in the office... Thanks Xfire... Hopefully we can ride together in the near future... You missed the opportunity to go with us bryancarlof... anyway, there is always next time... but we still don't know when It's hard to complete the group for this kind of 2 days activity... The team is around 9 to 10 members. but it's hard to find the get everyone in placed, even we are only 3, we still pursue to make it happen... By the way, Do you want to join the Mongolian Race Just let me know cause we already have the plan...

Hi Bored, we pass by the orange plantation... and good timing it's harvest time, so we eat all we can... Thanks Ten, I already found the straight carbon bar for you... see you next time... Hi Loui, The name is MechTiti, short for mechanical titanium, he made this call sign because of his Ti HT bike. He doesn't know whats the double "T" means in pinoys before, we already explain to him, but he doesn't care... Pading Noel, If you visit HK again. put Dongguan in your travel plan. We will ride here in NKS. just check the google to have the idea of the trail... It's a trail of no where... Pading Yogi... Yeti is perect for your 2nd bike...

I don't know if the reason of riding fast and strong is the bike or it's only a "new bike syndrome"... ;D ;D ;D go ahead padi, built your 575... Here is the shots of the bikes from our yesterday ride.... taken with my old phone cam that's why the quality is not that good.
