Wow, alphabolt, you join the HK Lamma Island race... We can't make it. It's very hard for us to travel from China to HK with our bikes... Bong padi, Yeah I heard about your Indian move (joke joke) heheh I was expecting to see you there pa naman I was an accidental entry...we were the only walk-in entry that day it s because two teams including yours didnt join so they allowed us to ride...AS in we were informed 5 minutes before the horn sounded for the mass start! ;D I was only able to complete 2 loops but I got banged up pretty hard ( 1 full endo almost a faceplant at the 12 foot downslope with a cave for a tip + the Tibet-type Dh trail where I fell almost off the mountain ...a sapling caught me and bent til it almost broke heheh) . kaya sana 3 loops but without the crashes and wound (a pretty deep gash when I banged the side of the mountain at the tibet-type trail again) we didnt expect to join so I didnt insist on riding the racetrack the day before...ayan tuloy! my first time on the trail was raceday ! heheh See you there next year, padi

(HK and local) k to All, Jessie's epiphany rocks! galing uphill ! it pedals and pushes you forward fulltime with some bobbing that I really like. I was not "torqued"out. I think the Ellsworth design is tops for uphill climbing Plus...Jessie's rig is too da/mn beautiful ! Jessie's loop time around the 6km track was really fast same with Banny. those two are fast and mala-kalabaw strong

Lloyd brad, that AM part pales in comparison to what I call "the Trail of Tibet" ...side of the mountain singetrack DH trail littered with coconut-sized and slate rocks. you d love the trail brad It would have been fun to roll over the med-sized rocks if not for my lack of travel insurance, cheaper wheelset, and body armor I felt naked goin down that trail in my XC gear Let go there next year!

A Thank You Letter from Shaun Horrocks. THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING IN A GREAT DAYWithout a doubt it was a perfect day, the weather and trail conditions were ideal, making for a superb days racing. It was a close fought battle between the top three riders. Jor led for much of the race but with Gary Mandy and John Tonks literally breathing down his neck he pushed himself to his very limit. In the end it was experience that won the day, Mandy had paced the race well and with 4.42 minutes elapsed found it in himself to go for one final lap, a lap that was to set the new enduro record. After 5 hours 11 mins Mandy completed his twelve and final lap to be victorious in the Lamma Enduro 2007. The day wasn't just about sweat, tears and pain. For many it was about being with like minded people and just having fun on the trails. This was the intention of the event all along and we the organisers hope that we was successful. Of course none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the many volunteers and Lamma locals who either supplied goods, man power and support. We would like to thanks all the following: To all the Lamma riders who spent weeks on the trail doing repair work, and especially to Alex who literally single handed cut the new section. To all those people in the orange shirts, and there are too many to mention by name. This year the marshalling truly became a family affair with loved ones and spouses turning up and doning marshal shirts to ensure that you didn't get lost, dehydrated or literally saved you from going over that drop off! No matter how seemingly small a part you played it was all essential to the success of the day A special thanks have to go to the time keepers, who patiently logged you're times all day, this is not an easy task! To all the first aid medic team, who made you feel safe on the trail. Thankfully they were only needed for a few bumps, scrapes and bruises. To the local community who worked the BBQ and made the logistics of transporting everything so much easier this year. To Ben, Darren, Julian and all the others out there with there cameras just ready to make you a star! to see some of your ugly mugs there are already some images uploaded on varies sites, check them out: www.mtbunited.com/news.html www.flickr.com/photos/98559827@N00/SPECIAL THANKS ALSO MUST GO TO ALL THOSE WHO WILLINGLY DONATED PRIZES Jeff from Patagonia for the bags Steve from Action Asia Magazine for the subscriptions Sunny from The Mountain Bike Shop in Tung Chung for the chains Mike from Action Asia Events for the hydra dry tops To the guys at NUUN who kindly provided the electrolyte tablets, without these we are sure that there would have been a lot more cramping AND LASTLY TO ALL OF YOU WHO CAME TO RIDE. THANKS GUYS YOU MADE PUTTING ON THE EVENT WORTH WHILE.

banny, what "the first drop off you told me to walk" ? YOU DIDNT! heheheh ...I saw how high it was (maybe 10-12 feet) and had an glimpsed how steep it was...BUT I didnt see the 3ft x 3ft digging at the bottom of it ! My speed down and line were all wrong...so major endo (almost faceplant except I was able to stretch out my hands and elbows) Style / Line was (I learned afterward): roll down from the right side and cross to the left side where the digging was not too deep..slow speed all the way Hayyyyy. this is the 2nd time I ve ridden a race without a practice ride ... dumb dumb but it was fun fun Great shots albeit embarrassing heheh
